did you fit a dedicated wiring kit or did you use the universal wiring kit with a bypass relay? Having spoke to a tow bar specilaist theyve sugeested that this way is not recomended. any ideas?

Hi Guys, has anyone completed a step by step guide to tow bard fitting on a hatchback VRS? I am fairly confident with the fitting of the bar itself but unsure on the cutting of the bumper for the tow ball and the wiring. If anyone could lend assisitance it would be appreicated Thanks in advance

Hi, yep, got it sorted. Was a switch issue which i replaced from Skoda. will the windows go up/down with the fob if you press and hold the button?

This has just been thrown up on ocdeleven and it would seem that the fuel cap doesn't lock, does anyone know the repair for this

Hi all, I have a question which hopefully someone could help out with. I have a 14 plate VRS Diesel and it would seem that the electric windows now don't work to the front windows using the switch on the door card, however, the rear windows on the same switch still work. All the windows still operate with the fob and also the window switch on the passenger side is also still operational. I assume the driver's switch has had it and burned out but after some clarification before I look to replace it. Thanks in advance for any help offered

Hi All This has probably been covered many times before but cant find anything directly relating to my enquiry. I am in the market for 2 new tyres for the front of my Mk3 184 Vrs. What do you guys recommend based on these points: Long lasting - mainly used for motorway driving Good for all weathers Not overley noisy I have currently got uniroyal rainsport 3's and found them to be good in wet conditions but terrible in the dry. These have not lasted long at all. Any help would be appreciated Thanks

did you rectify this issue? mine is currently suffering with the same problem

just to bump this will the 18" gemini alloy fit in the wheel well without lifting the floor? or could it be possible to let the tyre down to fit and then use the compressor to blow it up if and when needed? Thanks

cheers guys My Vrs is the 2014 model so unsure if its the later one? Would prefer a full-size alloy rather than a space saver if I'm honest. Can anyone confirm if I will need the polystyrene insert for this? Was toying with the idea of just picking up a mk2 18" alloy (as they are cheaper) and also buying the insert for that? If this is possible can anyone point me in the direction required for these bits?

Hi All just had a blow out on the motorway and typically because Skoda doesn't supply a spare wheel I've been forced to call for breakdown assistance. This is something I've never done in 16years of motoring. I have a few questions for you guys and hopefully, someone can help me out. Can I simply have an 18" spare wheel placed in the wheel well? will it fit ok? Is there a polystyrene style insert that can be placed in the area to suit this wheel? What do you guys do without a spare wheel? To me, its a must on every level, and just can't believe nothing is supplied Any help would be appreciated

can anyone help further with this? What's the best bars for my mk3 hatch? it would seem the fitment holes are within the door shuts? are there universal fitting ones available?

Hi all What do you guys use on your Vrs seats to keep them clean? I have been using mine for work and now has dust etc to both leather and the fabric part which doesn't easily come off. I'm assuming I would need to use 2 different types of cleaning products due to the different material? Thanks in advance

If you activate the washers and then turn the ignition off they return to their parked position. If i were to use the two man method, will this burn out the motor for it trying to return? any other ideas?

Hi All I've had a brief look on the forum but can't see a subject to answer my query. Is there a way to remove the headlight washer jet covers? One of mine has a chip and needs to be painted, any help would be appreciated Thank you

you pull the whole lot out together - the section with the switches in it has 4 retaining clips to the centre of each area. it just lifts up with a gentle persuasion

Ok I see. I'm assuming those switches will just lift up? the panel around mine seems to be a thin carbon fibre effect panel and I would imagine any time of manoeuvring with it will crack and break it. thanks for your help

so I can install an additional USB and place it next to the original manufacture install one. It makes it all look tidy
