Hi all. Trigger here. 55. Fat. Bald. Married with dog. Go fishing a lot with lots of tackle which struggles to fit in my current, now ageing C-Max. Currently between jobs and searching. Right, been hanging my nose over a better, and comfier, car now for a few months and finally decided on a Skoda after 1000's of hours surfing and reading and Autotrader etc etc.
Found one. A '65 Magic Black Pearlescent Superb SE L Executive TDI 150 hatch, manual, 14995 mls, first service been done, on Thursday morning at a local supermarket. It was the cheapest on Autotrader for the year, and the colour (THE best). Told the Wife. Crossed my fingers. Said a silent prayer.
Two hours later, after test driving it, and a '65 Mondeo 180 hatch as a comparison (no comparison really), the deal was done. I pick the Superb up on Tuesday (it's having Diamond-Brite and a naughty-camera fitted) and can't wait.
Here's to many happy, trouble-free hours of cosseted motoring. I hope.
All the best, Trigg.
