  1. Something else I thought of... about a year ago I had an issue on the inlet manifold and needed to remove it, this involved removing the fuel rail, whilst removing the fuel rail I broke a part of the fuel return line from the injectors, there is a small pressure valve (I think that is what it is) and the pipe going onto this valve broke. So I replace this fuel line (OEM part 03L130235R). 6months later I had a smell of diesel in the car and this replacement part had failed in the same spot as the one I had broken, I got a replacement part under warranty, and it is pretty soon after I replaced it that this issue of high fuel pressure started to happen. Could the two be related in that the replacement part is faulty and causing to much back pressure on the injectors resulting in a too high pressure in the fuel rail resulting in the P0088 code? Clutching at straws here
  2. So ended up replacing the Pressure Control Valve, still same issue. I have however managed to get a OBD11 reading which gives a P0088, which is fuel rail pressure too high. I'm thinking this is a HPFP issue, I've checked under the sensor on the HPFP and can see no signs of any small metal particles in there. Any thoughts?
  3. CEGA, maybe not so much fuel starvation but incorrect pressure 🤷‍♂️
  4. Hi, As per the title, when the revs get to around 3000RPM, there is major stuttering, it wont rev higher and then will go into limp mode, but the engine management light doesn't light, and I can see no codes when trying to read them (OBDEleven). I've changed the pressure sensor (The left hand end of the common rail), I thought I'd ask here before forking out the £130 for the fuel pressure control valve. Any ideas what it maybe? It does feel like fuel starvation, as I noticed yesterday when I was testing that after trying to get past 3000RPM, that there was then a load 'diesel' knocking which I think can be caused by fuel starvation. Cheers.
