Sounds like a bargain! I have to say that even though mine is up for sale everytime I drive it i'm thinking what the hell am I doing! I think the octy has given me the biggest bang for buck over any other car that I've owned...

Looks like a couple of "lads" thought they'd have a go at being mechanics one weekend!!! I certainly wouldn't entertain getting a garage to sort this out and make some money off the car as the value is probably through the floor all ready.... get it safe and drive it till it drops would be my advice at best.

Having only just seen this post I can say the same as Ginge! Just had the exact same problem on my other vag car (A4 B6 Q) and that the cam sensor needed replacing on that as well, all sorted once replaced.

Does anybody know if "no Nonsense" do a decent paint remover......🤪

Jetex! I have one on mine and it's been on there a fair while and still good. Subtle sound too.

34 to 36 most of the time and if I get stuck behind someone doing 40-50mph I can get anything up to 44mpg! And that's on average anywhere between a 13 to 20 mile journey at the most...pretty happy with that. My B6 A4 Q 1.8t is more like the 26 to 30mpg at best so I'm not impressed with that car compared to the VRS

I might get a Scout and put a lift kit on it and widen the track, add some spud u like tyres along with a nice big roof rack and led light bar....ye ha! Can anyone recommend a decent red paint for my neck 😆

Nice looking car, paint the grille black and do the spring's Oil change every 10k and it will go on and on 😉
