  1. You and me both, the main reasons I went for the L&K were the stereo and digital dash, if its not a Canton, then I might as well have ordered an SE L and just added the digital dash, would have been cheeper. Guess I'll know for sure in about 4 weeks when mine turns up.
  2. My contact at my dealer claimed that it was due to the space being used by the battery, but I am still sceptical for several reasons: 1. The sub in both the saloon & estate is housed in the space on the passenger side of the boot, and not under the floor where the battery is located, so there should still be room for it? 2. in the online configurator the word CANTON, is totally omitted from the list of standard equipment on the L&K once you select the hybrid drive train? This leads me to believe that the system in the iV is NOT even the same Canton system, minus the sub, but something completely different. The dealer had no answers to these points when I put them to him, he said he would try and find out, but as yet nothing. Add to that the total lack of response to my email inquiry to customer services (over 2 weeks now), something fishy is going on!
  3. I too am interested in this, I must say I was a little disappointed to find out about this, all of the literature I read before ordering did not have any mention of the lack of sub of the L&K spec with the hybrid drivetrain, it was only when using the configurator that it was highlighted. I have since complained to my dealer, and sent an email to Skoda customer services, as they really need to add that detail to the brochure, and make it clearer. The dealer was very apologetic but there is nothing they can really do, I've yet to get anything beyond an auto response from customer services.
  4. Congratulations, and good choice. I've now had a provisional date for the arrival of mine as 2nd week of April, so not too much longer for me to wait. I'll post some pics and details once I get it.
  5. Congratulations, welcome to the Superb family. You won't know what to do with all the extra space over the A4! I would have been more than happy with the SEL and was very surprised/delighted when my Boss agreed to the L&K. I've gone with Petrol Blue & Beige, but what colour combo have you gone for?
  6. Congratulations, lets hope it arrives on time, do post and let me know when you get it what your initial thought are.
  7. Congratulations, when you get it do let me know what you think, what model did you go for?
  8. Sol Thanks for you reply, I looked at some other plug in hybrids as well, but none compared to the value of the Skoda, the lease prices were all way higher, especially the BMW and Volvo, also as a Superb driver already I was rather biased! We have agreed the finance but the dealer is holding off on until the last day of Jan to actually order the cars. That way it should be ready to be registered on or just after 1st April so we should be fine for that. Also they did inform me that the lease price will go up come February, and oddly the Sportline+ was more expensive that the L&K.
  9. My Boss is very much trying to keep me sweet, and I did push him as I had an L&K last time, and didn't want to step down to an SE L. He is also very keen to up our company's 'Green' credentials as were ordering 2 one for me and another for one of our sales guys. He's getting a Tesla for himself.
  10. Thanks Danny, but you're wrong in your presumption, I'm not a 40% tax payer.
  11. Thanks for the info John, I was working on figures from comcar.co.uk, and comparing to what I am paying currently I got savings of £160 to £185 depending on year. Thats got the rest of this tax year 2019-20 at 16%, but going down to 12% for the next 2 years. Either way there will be a saving to me, which is great. I was hoping for some info about the car itself, from someone who has one. I've read the reviews and it all looks like business as usual, but always better to get the views of an actual owner and not just some motoring journo.
  12. 3 years has flown by, and I am now coming to the end of my time with my current company car. I have just placed an order for its replacement. After only recently becoming available (after 1st Jan for contact hire) I've ordered the new iV plug in hybrid Superb Estate in L&K trim. I was just wondering if anyone else had orderd one/got one already and what your thoughts are on it? On paper its going to save me a boat load of dosh as a company car driver, but the proof of the pudding as they say...., so wanted to get some opinions from you guys.
  13. Excellent, thanks for that, won't need any of those nasty stick on converters then, happy day
  14. We are planning a family holiday to France this Summer, and was wondering if anyone knew if this was the case. However my car does not have the dynamic light assist, just the bi-xenons so does anyone know if mine will still switch over?
  15. I am not sure if you can change the audible warning sound, but I can confirm that it plays even if Navigation is not being displayed, as I have set it to fire with my BP Petrol Station POI's that I updated earlier. I drive past 2 on my commute home and it goes "bong" every bloody time!
