Hi everyone, not sure of this has been asked before.
I'm about to purchase a new superb saloon L&K and while in the showroom I tested pressure it took the antitrap function to activate on closing the electric tailgate......it wouldn't stop....!
I'm a reasonably strong guy (so I think anyways) and the tailgate just kept lowering.
I'd be very concerned if there was an obstacle in the way, if it were a child they could be seriously hurt, if it were just an inanimate object the tailgate would suffer serious damage.
After demonstrating this to the dealer they couldn't offer any help or advice if the tailgate pressure could be reduced or if an antitrap function existed.
BTW I have a 520D BMW with an electric tailgate and it stops at the slightest touch on either the opening or closing cycle.
Any help appreciated.
