  1. 34-36 Mpg mainly rural driving. Lots of short straights and corners. I tend to stick to the speed limit as well so that makes it even worse. Tyres are looking low at 13K as well. I hope they make it to the end of the lease. Might have to swap front to back for the last couple of months
  2. Having had a Nissan Cashcow and a Seat Ateca as lone cars I was glad to get the yeti back. The Nissan was so bland and soleless to drive and just felt cheap. The Ateca was nice but I will miss the 4x4 weight of the L&K. I will not miss the fuel economy. Loads of leases must be finishing in the next 6 months, the dealers are going to be flooded
  3. I was worried about going back to the dark ages with headlights. I love the Yeti cornering and the brightness. Funnily enough my wife has a Sandero as well, the Yeti dip is like the Dacia main beam. Sounds like I need a test drive in a 1.0 Octavia then. Many thanks for all the input
  4. My current 1.4TSI Yeti is getting to the end of the lease and I am thinking about another Skoda. The Octavia estate looks like a good bet to me is SE Tech spec. I did laugh when I saw it had a 1.0 engine option. As my Yeti was in full swimming pool mode over Christmas the dealer lent me an Ateca. It drove very well and I was surprised when I looked it up and it was a 1.0 tsi under the bonnet. Now I could get a 1.5 Tsi in my budget but the kangaroo problems are making me think twice. A 1.0 TSI with DSG might be good. Any opinions one way or another? MPG figures would be nice as the Yeti gets 34-36 MPG at best and I need more than that
  5. I have just got my L&K back from the dealer after 3 weeks. I noticed it was steaming up inside for a couple of days before I found water running from the back of the dash. I thought it was heater matrix but I turned out the roof was leaking from the frame and the glass. So both had to be replaced along with interior carpets and sound deadening, again. This on an 18 month old car is frankly unacceptable in my mind but the dealer seems to think it is all par for the course. Moral of the story is, do not get a Yeti with a pan roof.
  6. I have left mine out in the snow last year and it never closed
  7. B roads better than A roads but I guess it depends on where you live. They handle quite well for a little bike and do 100+mpg even when trashed.
  8. I had one for a year. It all depends on what you want out of a bike. I live 12miles out of town so eventually found the 50mph and slower in wind and up hills frustrating. Very much a fun bike bike and very customisable. The forums are a bit sour and childish but the Facebook group is very good. The question you have to ask is what do you want it for and will you actually have time to use it for that? Buy used on the Facebook group for good savings.
  9. Do the seats not heat until you sit in them. Popped the key in and had it running for a couple of minutes to let the screen warm while I got ready. Had the seats turned on as well but they were still cold when I got in the car, it that normal?
  10. My journey does not help. Leave the house and then do 10ish miles at 50 ish miles an hour with little or no stopping. Almost 6th in 50 yards and then nothing else till I stop at work.
  11. I have always set the heat to off on other cars and waited for engine to warm before turning it on but I did not know if the CC on these put out full heat until temp was reached or does it put out the temp requested.
  12. I have an L&K so heated seats and windscreen are great but what is the quickest way to get the cabin warm? If you turn up the dials does it get warmer quicker or should I just leave it on 21 and let it do its thing?
  13. To be honest I do not care to much about traffic. I do not travel or commute enough for it to be an issue. I have found the built in guidance enough for me and quite like the quirky scenic route setting. I have Co-pilot on my phone, which I have used for years, but I cannot be bothered to turn it on now
  14. All new to me. This is the first time I have used the sat nav anywhere that would have hold ups. The announcements were very localised, right down to the next junction. Every system I had before on the radio covered such a large area it was useless. Good to know it comes on with the gps though as I never listen to the radio or press the TMC button
  15. I was listening to music via Bluetooth. Does it do this even without the radio on?
