  1. I've removed all of the other bluetooth devices from my phone.
  2. I've got a 2018 (2017MY) Octavia with the Admunsen screen (no CD drive, two SD slots, and the touch screen display with two physical knobs). I've got a Samsung S10 that refuses to connect once paired. Pairing seemingly works just fine, as I have to press the button on both the screen and my phone, and it says it paired successfully, only after that it always says "Cannot connect to Skoda XXXX" on the phone. I've tried the phone with a different car (my wife's Citigo with bluetooth capability) and it connects and plays audio/phone calls just fine. I've tested my car's infotainment with her phone (Samsung A50) and that works just fine. It just seems like either my Octavia has a problem with my phone, or my phone has a problem with my Octavia. I've tried resetting the Infotainment with a 10 second button press to fully turn off the infotainment, and I've tried resetting my phone's network settings. I'm at a loss as to why the two refused to play together! The car is under warranty still as is the phone! Thanks Gavin
  3. Right, now I've managed to get more light on the subject (pun intended) you have to get the two metal flaps on either side of the holder to clip under the two metal pins. Odd design if you ask me.
  4. These are the version 2 headlights with led DRLs. Managed to get the bulb out (h7), but can't get the new one back in no matter how much I push and twist the thing. Any ideas how to get the flipping thing back in? Attached is the rear of the holder.
  5. I just had my car serviced and they quoted me £150 per tyre for my rear 215/40 17s. I needed 2 as they were low. I got two maxxis hp5 tyres for £120 for both from a local tyre place. Rated C for fuel and A for wet. I highly recommend them they feel way better than the continentals that were on there, quiet too.

  7. Another vote from me for the Pela 6000. I used one on a smart car when I had one (they didn't have sump plugs!). Worked well enough.
  8. I most recently moved from a Renault Megane Mk2, so the Skoda is positively luxurious. I had a Civic sport space ship edition even that had less toys than my rapid black edition. The car with the most toys I've had was a golf mk4 GT though the engine let that one down 2 litre FSI that spent more time with a mechanic than me, auto everything except gears, though the only superfluous thing i used were tunnel lights.
  9. Equally I dunno why people complain it's based on older vw tech. It's just based on proven technology.
  10. Surely it should say 10,000 right? I was in the car park of the Skoda dealer literally minutes after picking it up.
  11. There's a window in the windscreen just above the wipers.
  12. My rapid is due an oil change service in a month anyone ever haggled down price of the £149 service?
  13. Colour Edition in tungsten silver. Picked up today!
  14. Yeah there's an offer at the moment for a minor and major for £279.
  15. We're picking up our brand new citigo on Tues. We've got a 42 month PCP. The dealer's trying to upsell us on a servicing plan. We've got the option of the 2 services for £279 or 3 services for £440 or service and maintenance for £627. For the latter 2 they're already over 36 months (i think) for the first option is spread over 12 months or lump sum. I'm a little confused over why on a brand new car you'd want a maintenance plan when the warranty should cover stuff that goes wrong? Obviously there's the wear and year stuff like brake pads, but not sure that's worth the extra 200 quid. We'll be doing around 6000 miles a year. What did you do about servicing and why?
  16. Reckon those headlights would be able to retrofit? They look the same shape.
  17. We managed to find a silver colour edition in central stock that suited us, so we went for it. Just hope it gets here before the VED change.
  18. We were after the 0% PCP Deal. Not sure if they would do that on a demo or prereg. We are going to contact our local Skoda dealer and find out tomorrow.
  19. I would like to get one from stock (due to the tax going up horrifically in April!) What are my chances? Any common things I should look out for on the Citigo?
