I had exactly the same with my Octavia. It was a pain and needed a Karcher window cleaner to suck up the water.

I have just handed back my lovely vRS after 3.5 years. Sad to see it go and now without my own car in the short term. Tempted with the new Ateca 1.4tsi or Kodiaq / Yeti in 1.4TSI. (Any good offers on the Kodiaq/Yeti let me know ) Looking at PCH this time.

I just sent mine back. That was a Vrs, DSG, full leather and Sat Nav on 63 plate. So keep looking as they are out there.

I had the leather seats in the mk3 vRS and my back was perfect. Although after a long journey my legs were a little stiff. My wife's Volvo xc60 seta are in a different league though. My car has now gone but tempted with the Skoda superb, Kodiaq or Ateca. Strange not seeing my car in the drive. Probably sitting waiting for auction now on it's own :-(

I took the Ateca out the other day and was very impressed. Cheaper and nicer than the Tiguan. The 1.4tsi was very nippy and refined. I think the Ateca is made at the same place as the Kodiaq . So the Ateca is built by Skoda for Seat . Very impressive built quality too. All nice cars but need to look at the Kodiaq again.

I was tempted with the Superb, then the Kodiaq (need to see one in the showroom) and think I prefer the Seat Ateca. Built in the same place as the Kodiaq but feels spot on. Perhaps this is what the new Yeti will be based on next year.

I had led lights in a recent Audi A4 hire car in Austria. Brilliant lights and way brighter and clearer than my Xenons in the Octavia.

I think I go for the VT anyway . The complaint will take up to 8 weeks to sort so I would prefer to get shot of it and sort out the mileage issue later.

Yes, she said that there is a conflict as one part the contract has been completed by going past the 50% and that part does not refer to excess mileage. She thought is was unfair to have another section way down at 11.4 due early exit mileage fees. Issue is one part gone past and can hand back with nothing further to pay 11.4 goes against is. She agrees with the above consumer credit article too. I am also in discussion with What car who are very interested in this development.

I think there is a conflict in the wording of the contract. Termination your rights states you have a right to end the agreement with return of goods and half paid with a figure in the agreement. If you already paid at least this amount plus any overdue instalments and have taken reasonable care of the goods you will not have to pay any more. 11.4 refers to early termination. I have paid more than half and want to end. It isn't early as I have completed the above so there is confusion in the two sections . If I drop my car back with 4000 miles on the clock would Skoda readjust to pay me more back. Don't think so. Anyway, my contract will be with my work colleagues in the law firm tomorrow. It will be interesting to see what they say. I will post back later in the week.

they say it is under the mileage section of the contract 11.4 . I have a thread on the superb section as thinking of pch on new Superb but don't thing it will happen now some how.

s spoke to two men and then manager also male First said no extra to pay if the car goes to auction and sells for way under . Today another guy said excess will be charged and confirmed by line manager. Something to do with memo released in the middle of my two calls. Very odd that one.

but Skoda seem to be using section 11.4 to charge for it now. Any help would be appreciated and were is the other discussion please ? Many thanks
