  1. perfect on the motorway with 4 people ,a hoot on twisty back roads with great mpg . Does everything that is required with cheap insurance
  2. glad its not just me that thinks that
  3. Thats interesting had a very small puncture repaired on the rear of mine , been back to the tyre place and they cant find nothing wrong , looses about 5lb a week
  4. After a bit of searching ive found this , has instructions to adjust sensitivity on headlights , haven't tried yet but i followed the instructions for Coming/Leaving-Home functions: and it worked so when unlocking /locking my headlights stay on for 60 seconds . Auto Headlight Module.pdf
  5. Yep having the same issue with trees/dusk might try relocating the sensor somewhere else
  6. i think they are all like that
  7. Thanks for the guide , done mine yesterday took less than 10 minutes .Found a UK based seller received it in 3 days :-) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chrome-Car-Auto-Headlight-Light-Switch-Sensor-Module-For-VW-Golf-Mk4-Passat-Polo/122478543822?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
  8. ok just been out to have look and take a pic So pic 1 is after unlocking car , nice and bright pic 2 is with car locked and pic 3 is with interior light switched on manually ,which is no where near as bright as it should be . confused !
  9. just fitted the above mentioned canbus festoon bulbs in mine (42mm) and they remain on when they should be off ,and after a while start to flicker quite rapidly . Any ideas ?
  10. I currently have one on ebay , how much should i expect it to go for ?
  11. I removed the front interior light then removed the rubber trim from around the front drivers door , rear drivers side door and the top of the boot just enough so i could get between headlining and roof .I got 2 outer cables from a push bike and joined them together, and threaded it through the hole where the front interior light is and pushed it towards the drivers door . Once i could see and feel it i guided it along to the rear door and then pushed it through towards the boot . Once i had pulled it all the way through i taped 2 lengths of wire to the bike outer cables and slowly pulled it back toward the front and out of the hole where the light is . Next step was to cut into headlining where new light was to be fitted , i used one from a vauxhall corsa c as there isn't much space between headlining and roof but enough for the vauxhall unit . I then connected the wires to the light and fitted it and proceeded to fit all the rubber trim to secure the headlining in place . All that left was to connect the rear light to the front and refit the front interior light . OK so the next bit is a slight bodge but it works , i placed the wires on each bulb terminal so the bulb holds the wires in place to supply a feed to the rear , and hey presto a rear interior light which works just like the front ,took around 2 hours from start to finish
  12. Dont know if anyone else has noticed how dark it is in the rear of the citigo ? i found it difficult to see what i was doing when putting grandchildren into their seats , so i fitted a rear interior light and problem solved
  13. Love my monte carlo and wouldnt hesitate doing that sort of yearly mileage in it , been all over even went from Norwich to silverstone and back fully loaded with 4 adults it was no issue for the litlle car what so ever
  14. My son had a similar thing with his 1999 MK1 yaris sr , decided to go the black box route they came out to fit it and inspected the car for any modifications . Got a phone call later saying the wind deflectors on the front windows were not standard fit and they would cancel insurance if they were not removed .
  15. Been having the same issue with mine until today . I was sat in the works car park today and removed the sat nav holder from the top of the dash as its going for bodywork repairs today , then bingo perfectly clear radio reception. Odd i thought so put the holder back on and sure enough lost reception again , did this 3 or 4 times and each time it affected radio reception. This was with just the holder and not with the sat nav attached .
