  1. Massive thanks @Declan O'Shaughnessy!!! Would my 2.0 TFSI be compatible with this? Does my engine have a plastic or aluminium manifold? If it's aluminium, will this work despite the part saying it's for TDI engines? Thank so much for your help!
  2. Thanks @bigjohn - I'm not sure what the outcome of that thread was; some people don't clear the fault even with a new manifold. I guess the best option is to try the ECS Intake Manifold Lever Arm Fix Kit. Can this be purchased in the UK, or do I have to ship it over and likely pay customs fees etc? Thank you.
  3. Hi, I've just had a new intake manifold sensor fitted to try and resolve a P2015 fault. The mechanic suggested a new sensor pretty quickly as the most likely fix. However, after being fitted the EML came back on after a few engine starts after being cleared by the garage. The new sensor and fitting cost me shy of £180 so I'm eager to keep costs to a minimum. Can anyone suggest the best next course of action please? Would really appreciate any advice. Thank you.
  4. Thanks for the feedback guys. The light went off after a few days, but still getting it checked out.
  5. Hi all, I recently swapped out my faulty Bluetooth module for another and it works fine. However, a day later my engine management light came on. I appreciate the only way to know what's causing it is to plug in, but would having an incorrectly coded Bluetooth module cause the EML to come on a day or so after fitting? Also, what is involved in recoding the module? Appreciate all help and advice. Thank you.
  6. Hi all. Apologies, but after looking at some of the other threads on this topic I'm still not sure. I'm looking to replace my Bluetooth module as my phone (or any other) no longer connects after years of it being fine. Doesn't seem to be an uncommon problem. Anyway, I've looked online for a replacement and while I can find items of the same parts number, they all look visually quite different to the one I already have (photo attached). I want to make sure I'm buying the correct replacement part. Also, if anyone knows of a good place to purchase one, it would be much appreciated. Thank you.
  7. Hi, does my Superb (June 2011, 2.0 TFSi) have a timing chain or a timing belt? I assumed it had a belt as when I open the bonnet I can see (all I know about my car is how to drive it) a belt at the very front of the engine. The dealer and another garage tell me I have a chain. Any thoughts please? Thank you.
  8. Hi. I have a slow oil leak. Took it to a garage today who have informed me that the thread on the sump has been damaged and I'll need a new sump. In addition to the oil and filter change (which was the other reason I took it in), they've quoted me a total figure shy of £350. Does this sound right; seems pretty expensive. Also, I assumed they would have needed to remove the plug to check the thread, which would mean draining the oil...which they didn't do. Any thoughts are welcomed. Thank you.
  9. Hi guys, My June 2011 2.0 TSI Superb has done 62000 miles and is 6 years old which I've owned from new. Through negligence on my part, I need some work done and was hoping people could suggest what a sensible price would be... I've never had the break fluid changed, which isn't good considering it should have been changed 3 years ago. How much does this typically cost? I need to get some new break pads for the front and rear. I'm told the discs etc are okay, just the pads. How much and is there a recommended make? Again, I've never changed these since owning the car and am impressed they've lasted this long; or is this normal? Cambelt and waterpump. My manual just says 180'000 KM, which I'm of course no where near. I've read some posts hear that it should have been replaced after 5 years, what are peoples' thoughts? Again, is there a price I should be looking for? Thanks so much! Cheers... Any advice welcome!
  10. Cheers. I've had it almost 6 years, and this is the first time I've had this issue.
  11. Hi. I tried filling with fuel today but after only a few litres the fuel pump clicked and stopped pumping (which it normally does when the tank is full). I tried pumping the fuel more slowly but again it clicked off after a few seconds and wouldn't let me fill the tank. It's not the angle I'm holding the pump etc as I've filled the car hundreds of times previously without any issue. I tried another pump, but had the same problem. Does anyone have any thoughts please? Second question, after taking the fuel cap off is there normally another cover/flap that pushes inwards when you insert the pump nozzle? I only ask as I don't appear to have one (I've never looked before) and I'm thinking maybe this has come off and caused a blockage? Not sure. Thanks you!
  12. Hi, I had a front driver side tyre puncture this morning after hitting a pothole on the M25. Recovery (AutoAid) came and swapped the tyre out for my spare pretty quickly. I have a dash cam which will have me hitting the pothole, me swearing, noise from the puncture and me pulling over and calling for recovery. Once I check the footage and determine the exact location, I'll report it. I'm wondering what peoples' thoughts are regarding compensation? I know it's an uphill battle but seem to understand the process. What are peoples' own experiences? Is it best to get the suspension and axle checked and potentially try and claim for this cost also? Thank you.
  13. The engine was warm, but not up to temp when I checked. They used Fuchs TITAN SYN MC 10W-40 oil, which apparently meets VW 502 00 specification, so I'm assuming I'll be okay for another 10'000 miles? Cheers!
