Well I've had my bonnet wrapped. Very pleased with the results. Looks ace I think. Will post some photos as soon as I can.

Same thing fella. Right then. These are the part numbers: 5J0853607B for the smaller strip that goes around the sides and bottom of the grill. 5J0853633B for the top bonnet panel which includes the badge. I also got some spare clips for the top panel as I didn't know exactly what was underneath of if they were on the new part. 5J0853139A for the clips. To be honest you'd be ok without spares as they come on the new part but at least I have spares. They come in a pack of 3. The first 2 parts above are labelled Monte Carlo on the package stickers. The parts cost me about 62 quid in total. I know I could have had them sprayed but I thought I'd just swap the bit. Simples! The top badge/bonnet part is easy to fit as you can see all the clips and takes 2 mins. However the grill strip was a bit tricky. I unscrewed the 2 torx bolts and removed the 2 plastic lugs. You need to lever the small plastic pin up and out of each lug first. It's then a case of using a trim tool or wide blunt screwdriver etc to remove push in the bits that hold the grill to the bumper section. We had to place a mirror on the polystyrene to see underneath to see what we were doing. You can get you hand and arm down behind the grill section by just easing it out a bit. It's quite flexible. Just take you time! Once the grill is out the strip can be removed easily from the grill and the new one fitted. It's then a case of reverse your steps. Oh and by the way a good torch is handy even when daylight as we found out and it's a bit dark in there. We will take some photos this weekend to make it clearer and to show you how it looks. If you live in or around the Yorkshire area we can help you do it if you like no probs. Well happy with it.

Hi. Bought mine from vanstyle also known as palmautomotive. They are mint and German made I believe. I think they may be the same as the OEM ones skoda supply. They were less than 90 quid I think.

Got some stick on headlight convertors from the dealer to put on for driving over in Europe soon. Instructions as useful as a chocolate teapot. Anyone put them on? Apparently there's also a bezzle in the headlight unit that can be moved to convert them. Asked at the dealer as usual they knew nothing about it and had their usual blank faces.

Nice post Janner. I just need the screws really. Wondered if theynare the same torx bolts across the Skoda range. Dealers says you can't get just the screws but need to buybthe whole box!

Hello. As the post says. I'm after some bits from a standard one (I have a 1.4 vrs) including a screw. Anyone want to sell or help me out please!? Are they all held down with torx screws? Long story!

Got bits from dealership. Check the part numbers at the start of this topic. Just give the dealership the numbers.

That's only for the top part so very expensive. You need the grill surround too. See my recent post on the subject.

Just fitted the black grill surround and top badge panel to my vRS. Looks mint and so much better than the standard chrome. Parts took a while to come through hence the delay in doing it. Anyone need the part numbers?

Badge wont have to be touched as the original grill will stay in place. Also it clips on. I ordered some clips too.

Believe it's just the top section and the insert. The actual grill with the vRS badge will just stay where it is.

Sorry fella I don't have the part numbers I'm afraid. They just looked it up on the computer and ordered the bits for me.

Well I decided to order the Monte Carlo black grill bits today. £57 for all the bits with clips. Will leave the lights for now. Dealer said there be a delay in getting them as not many at the factory so may be back ordered.

Not 100% sure off the top of my head. If you find a pick of the Monte showing the headlights and compare they are defo different. Possibly no main beam bulb on it's own? Not sure.
