Hi Ben, What infotainment system do you have? I have Bolero and just want to check if it's possible to activate, I've read that it wasn't working properly for others with Bolero system. cheers

Problem with automatic rain sensor for wipers
Wiz83 replied to automass's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
This could be (not sure, just guessing based on the discussion in the link below) caused by a bad/broken fuse.. Hope it helps! http://obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/1816/rain-light-sensor-postion-fault -
Bluetooth audio lag while using 12v socket
Wiz83 replied to Wiz83's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
Thanks both for your response! It happens even when phone is not charging so it must be the cheap socket plug that causes the issue.. Luckily everything else seems fine in the car electronics so I'm using Aux instead of BT to get around this. And I still recommend the lumbar cushion for those who suffers from back pain on long journeys -
I've been using the blutooth audio streaming in my Octy with Bolero and it's been working fine, now I've bought a lumbar cushion with massage function from ebay (great on long journeys) that I connect to the 12v socket near the handbrake. The problem is when I have the massage cushion on the audio streaming gets very laggy and cuts a lot. Any idea what might be causing this?

Don't think it's possible.

Did you scan the car while the engine was running? If you did then it's probably nothing to worry about, clear the codes and run it again with the engine off.

If you dont have it in the infotainment as shown above, go to Central electronics > Adaptations > look for Acknowledgement signals/feedback signals (don’t remember the exact name) there should be 3-4 channels you need to activate to get it working and showing in the infotainment. Mine is a 2015 (without alarm system so it uses the horn) and I'm not sure if it's the same for newer models so have a look. Btw, I love that feature and everyone else hates it

It's actually very common that a running car will throw errors. Clear all errors and run diagnostics when the engine is off, that's how your dealer does it.

little or no bass on may 2016 columbus

If you don't have Canton sound (with subwoofer) you shouldn't expect much from the system when using SD, CD or USB. I don't have Canton however I only stream audio via Bluetooth and in my Samsung phone there is an extra bass setting which made a huge difference in the car! -

Purpose of the mirror in the bixenon headlight

I think ist just Skodas solution to hide the small side bulb which lights up the eyelashes. IMO not as good looking solution as the new Superb. -

If you give me a screenshot of all your settings in Acknowledgement signals/feedback signals I can compare to my settings later today when I'm home.
