  1. It also says: Coming Soon Available from : 04/05/2009 so maybe not yet registered?
  2. As it happens most are genuinely surprised at the Carens, certainly those with Octys want 1 due to it's better 'functionality' as a cab, the only prob I face is poor mpg, can't get anywhere near the 38 my 3 Octys averaged, mind you a horrible nasty dpf has something to do with that! I love the look of the S2, as a private motorist I'd have 1 tomorrow but not for me as a tool of my trade. Thanks Supurbia for the link, there is 1 in Brighton already done, slightly different colour but the council allowed it as it ws the 1st to be done. £150 for bonnet & boot when I buy, let the dealer do it when I sell, not much in it for me & paint is easier to repair if need be!
  3. Looked in depth at a new S2 today for the 1st time, a base model 1.9tdi model so no toys. Lovely from the outside (it was white), great from the drivers seat (black cloth), good head & leg room but the biggest turn off (this is a work thing) was the HUGE tunnel running down the back passenger floor space. Punters get in & slide across (don't ask me why cos I never understand either lol) & I can see this being a right royal pain in the proverbial, especially at night with the dark carpet & seat covering & girlies/ladies don't like to sit with their legs wide open when they're in skirts for obvious reasons! I know I run a Kia but right now I can't see myself in an S2, it simply doesn't do the job as well & that's nowt to do with price or badge snobbery just simple practicality as a cab. The only thing I can see to do the job as well as my Carens is a Ford S Max & they are considerably more expensive, I guess it's another 50k in a Kia for me then lol.
  4. If it's parked outside on the road it could have been caused by a 'bow wave' of a passing vehicle, have known this before.
  5. & this from a man who bought a Skoda which will prob end up as a cab when he's finished with it, erm maybe not, I just remembered he didn't get a bag o spanners with his new toy however he got a free set of electrical gremlins thrown in! Nuff said & no offence mentioned, just my personal thoughts/soh!
  6. Just wait til you've done a weekends work, you'll be so pi$$ed off with the knees in your back you'll regret the VX straight away, it matters not who makes it or what toys it's got for our trade, what matters most is how much it earns & how comfortable we can be whilst we do our 12 hour night shifts!
  7. You could always spray some silicone round the seals, not a 'proper' fix but might help in the short term!
  8. I can hear the calling from here.....Lummoxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx!
  9. Black smoke is 'normally' unburnt fuel going straight into the exhaust system, some diesels do this 'naturally' & therefore have no exact fault, some however this means a clogged filter etc. No harm in giving it a good old blowout & a service of the filters before checking anything more expensive. PS: try doing 99% urban driving, it's fun when you get the chance to hit the open road, well not fun for the car behind lol.
  10. Workwise we've no choice here in Brighton, it's White or White, oh with an Aquamarine boot & bonnet to be painted too! On the second hand market used White Superbs under 4 years old are hard to come by, well those with less than 250k are anyway!
  11. Oh how I laughed, did my hacking cough (after 2 weeks of the flu) absolutely no good at all lol.
  12. I have a colleague who pickes up his new Superb next week, it's in White. Will try to take some pics asap but just wondered if anyone had actually seen a White one in the flesh yet?
  13. I'd have thought it would have XX 58 JCB as its plate!
