  1. I just want to know where or on what model I'd find the biggest crownwheel...
  2. Ok. I got a little lost with all the numbers. Am I right in thinking the 1.3 mpi felicia estate and 1.3 pickup has the highest crownwheel and pinion gear? As in the opposite to the diesel box?
  3. It's actually quite good. Badly faded... bit of rust on the wings and the usual grot on the rear arches, but other than that it's pretty good. I've a felicia too... which is in pretty much the same condition.
  4. So I've got myself a favorit. It's single point injection and running a distributor whereas the felicia I've got is multipoint and has coil packs. Both are supposed to be 67bhp... anyone any experience on how they compare. Apart from loading on and off the trailer, and shunting about the yard, I haven't driven the favorit yet!
  5. I'm working, but I'll do my best to drop in for a bit.
  6. Hi Ricardo. Inner CV joint failed, which caused the steering wheel to jerk as you have described. I checked the inner CV and found that it had excessive movement and play due to wear (able to move shaft up and down in the inner CV housing). New shaft rectified the problem. Should also mention that for a period of time prior to the CV failing, there was a slight vibration under acceleration, which was also rectified when the shaft was replaced. The worn inner CV was throwing the balance off.
  7. I've had a Clio do something similar when the inner cv gave up, but you're very confident that the shafts are good... can't help bro.
  8. Ricardo i had a similar issue, but I've no idea if it's related. You state you fitted 14" rims and 185/60/14 tyres. I've experienced the same symptoms, and not only on a felicia. Are the rims genuine skoda? Have they the correct offset? Are they deep dishes? Wheels with a bigger footprint with the road, especially with a smaller offset, can be susceptible to tramlining or become over sensitive to minor imperfections with the road surface. May not have anything to do with your problem. Just thought I'd share.
  9. Lol!! No i haven't bought the green estate! I put a bearing in the rear of felicity tonight (****h easy!), and I've been using her as a daily driver for the last 3 months. Been absolutely faultless and has never let me down. Exhaust and clutch can be bought at sensible enough money.... still haven't made up my mind yet. . If I do fix it, I'll be going all out.... two small repairs are needed on the rear arches now.
  10. Excellent spots jonny stalker! ! Haven't been on here for a while... so I've missed out on some stuff... On another note.. I don't think felicity will be around much longer... she's got nearly a years mot.... but she's going to need a clutch soon, and needs a full exhaust... both items have signed her death cert... she's not worth fixing... :(
  11. Unfortunately I couldn't make it.. any other upcoming meets or shows on the horizon?
