  1. Try playing with the switches on the overhead console for your overhead lighting in the rear of the car. I had a similar issue with my first Superb.
  2. We've just got a replacement for our *slightly* bent L&K estate, it's a pre-reg 2019 190 Tdi L&K estate DSG 4X4 in quartz grey with 10 miles on the clock. It's getting delivered today. 😀
  3. @davembk: Read the post made by @paul_7_7_7 for the method of working the release catch. If you remove the rubbery plug you can't replace it and it only helps keep the key blade tightly in place. I have been trying on one of the keys from my now written off L&K and the method posted by @paul_7_7_7 definately worked for me.
  4. Nah, it was all solids and they didn't escape my underwear. 😃
  5. I can only apologize for your inability to recognise a humourous comment. If my comment had been serious I would not have included a smiley. My humble apologies if I offended your sensibilities. Why would the spills be inevitable?
  6. Thanks, all the safety stuff did what it was meant to do. The engineer who assessed the damage was quite impressed by our lack of serious injuries, as were the traffic police.
  7. Nope, no royal connections. 😄 Just a pillock driving for Scot Jcb whose sat nav said do a u turn now. 😞
  8. The driver of the truck type transit pickup was charged with careless driving at the scene of the accident, there were quite a few witnesses to the accident who all gave statements. In theory my insurers will replace the car with a new one of the same spec, I'm not holding my breath though. Looking at the Skoda configurator I don't see any manual transmission diesels at the moment. 😞
  9. Thanks, I bought the car through New Car Discount, I'm pretty sure it was supplied by Rainworth motors of Mansfield. The safety devices in the car did their job, although the other half has a *lot* of bruising caused by the seat belt, I just feel as though I've been kicked in the chest by a horse.
  10. Sadly this is what my 20 month old Superb now looks like, my insurance company have just written it off. A driver, travelling slowly, on the inside lane of the A9 decided he was going to to a right turn to go through a gap in the central reservation without looking in his mirror as I was travelling at about 65mph in the outside lane. The end result was 2 ambulances, 2 fire engines, 4 police cars and a 2 hour visit to the local A&E for my wife and myself. 🤕
  11. We're just getting battery in our 16 month old Superb replaced under warranty due to it suddenly deciding it didn't have enough power to start the car. The garage told us that Skoda have been having 'issues' with batteries manufactured by Moll.
  12. We had ours done yesterday when the car was in for its first service, hopefully it'll cure the cold weather glitches in the headlight levelling system. Edit: They also agreed to replace the warped glove compartment door under warranty. :)
  13. How many POIs have you already got displayed? I found that you can only get a certain number of POIs to display on the map and to get the camera POIs to display I had to deselect some other POIs in the options screen.
  14. I finally got round to doing this, it worked flawlessly. Thanks once again for your guide.
  15. There's a road in Dundee that runs along side the railway line to Aberdeen which has 70 mph speed limit signs for the trains, the road is a 30 limit. The Superb regularly displays a 70 sign after passing the signs on the railway and changes back to 30 a few hundred yards along the road.
  16. Thanks for the scan, that's much appreciated. I think what I probably need is a scan of an MY18 car that's fitted with a reversing camera so I can compare it with a scan of my car.
  17. My local dealer installed the camera and the necessary cabling, when they tried to code it using their equipment they couldn't. They then got in touch with Skoda UKs technical department who pointed them to a small paragraph in a technical document which stated that the reversing camera could not be retro-fitted to Superbs built after week 22 (2017). I myself do not understand what the difference between a factory fit and a retro-fit is provided all the necessary wiring/connectors are installed. We were quoted £430 for supply and fitting of the camera. I'd be delighted if somebody could explain to me how to code a camera in using VCDS as I've told Thomson & Potter that if I find a work around to the alleged issue I'll get them to refit the camera and I'll code it in myself.
  18. We decided that we should have ordered a rear view camera fitted when we ordered the car, an MY18 Superb, so we put it into our local dealer in Perth. They've had it for nearly 2 days now and they fitted the camera, but when they went to program it all into the car they couldn't. :( They have been talking to Skoda's tech department who've now told them that the camera cannot be retro-fitted to an MY18 Superb! Am I being told porkies I wonder?
  19. It's certainly programmable using OBD11, they have an app which is specifically for that purpose.
  20. They all worked for me, I presume you mean having the tail lights on with the DRLs?
  21. I tried that yesterday and it works for me on a MY18 L&K estate.
  22. Mmm, the engine was running at the time with no lights or heating or A/C turned on. As I said, the DTC disappeared when I changed the setting back to its original state, I'll give it another try later and see what happens. I thought the purpose of the coding was to make the ecu 'think' there wasn't enough voltage to use stop/start, which is exactly what the DTC message is saying: "1 Fault Found: 65794 - Function Restricted due to Insufficient Voltage"
  23. The mod to disable stop/start seems to create a DTC on MY18 Superbs. The DTC certainly shows up using the latest beta of VCDS, I honestly don't know if the diagnostic software that Skoda garages use will detect it, I suspect it will. Changing the setting back to it's original state gets rid of the DTC.
