  1. For the second time in my Superb Mk3 estates 5 month life the laser controlling the front assist and the cruise control has gone wrong. It has been recalibrated FOC by my local garage once but has now failed again and I have two advisory lights on my instrument panel saying that both the front assist and cruise control are unavailable. I have been advised that the Laser is not covered by warranty as it may have been knocked by eg" a supermarket trolley"!!!. Both times the problem has occurred while driving and not due to and accidental knocking. It is back to the garage again on Monday where it and I have spent a considerable amount of time due to numerous other faults. Has anyone else had a problem with this and how was it resolved.?
  2. The passenger courtesy light keeps falling from it's housing in the roof and hanging by its electrical wire. Is this a common problem and has anyone found a successful fix. It has been to the garage under warranty and allegedly been corrected. This lasted four days before it came loose again! The car is under 4 months old and has had other issues so not at all "Superb".
  3. Does anybody on here have a Superb Mk3 1.9 diesel estate with black alacantra cloth seat covers. When putting the seats down I found identical 1 inch splits at the bottom of both seats covers near both rear doors This shows up the white cloth underneath. I asked for them to be replaced under warranty but have now been told they are manufactured like this with the splits!?!. Not a selling point in their brochure. Could anyone who has these covers on their Mk3 Superb please check their vehicle to see if it is the same and let me know the outcome. Thanks Brian.
  4. The instructions to fit a clear bumper protector to my Superb estate specify the use of Terostat 8550 cleaner / degreaser for the paintwork. I cannot find any available for sale on Amazon etc so is there a more commonly available product that does the same job and could be used instead.
  5. A further option has come up which I am considering which is if I purchased an Zeus alloy 17" wheel and tyre to match those on my new Superb do you know whether it would fit in the well under the boot floor or would it be too big as it is a 17" size.
  6. Great news. Thanks for taking the time to help with my question.
  7. So should the wheel be OK do you think?
  8. Sorry I was wrong about the wheel size it is 16". What are the ET44 and ET52 you mentioned and what is the offset PCD 5x112 mentioned in Clarendon 462's post? The engine is a 2.0 litre diesel 150bhp with 17" wheels. Do you know whether a 2008 Scout estate has a PCD of 112mm and is this measured from the centre of the nuts?

  10. Does anyone know if 17" spare steel wheels from 2008 Octavias would fit a 2017 Superb wheel as a spare?.
