  1. Hi All, I was just wondering if anyone has had their 19" Altair wheels dipped in the same Gloss black as the cars trim i.e. spoiler, door mirror caps? If so what does it look like. Cheers
  2. Hi Peter, A good thought but I have the latest IPhone and have already installed the Street View app and tried this. I can't see that the in car system needs an app to run it as the firmware on the infotainment system only needs an internet connection to allow the Skoda connect features to work I.e. Google Earth & Street View. Its certainly a mystery. I just wonder if this feature is not enabled.
  3. There is no such thing as a premium version. The Colombus 9.2" is the highest spec infotainment system available for the Superb. I much prefer the larger screen and the lack of physical buttons isn't really an issue.
  4. The only way you connnect with the new system is via a hotspot connection on your phone but yes I have connected to the infotainment system and it's registering as such. Google Earth works fine but the Street View man is shaded out. Just makes me wonder if this facility has not been enabled for the UK?
  5. I have the new 9.2" infotainment system but when using the sat nav with Google Earth the Street View Man is shaded out. Is anyone else having the same problem or am I missing something?
  6. Update so my dealer has contacted me to advise that my car will be built during week 24 and will have the new larger 9.2" touch screen. looking on Skoda's website the interior pictures have also been changed on the configurator to reflect this change also. No sign of the hideous Kodiaq gear shifter thank god.
  7. Just been into my local Skoda dealer for an order update. I placed my order with back in February this year for a Superb Sportline 2.0 TSI DSG. They have advised me that my car still hasn't hit the production line yet and it's more than likely I will get the updated version with the new 9.2" touch screen, fingers crossed! I should hopefully get an update in a couple of weeks time.
  8. I must admit I'm not a fan of the new gear shifter in the MY18 model. My vehicle is currently I production so I'm assuming I'll get the current MY17 model. I would like to know if the firmware will be updated to mirror that of the MY18 infotainment system. It doesn't seem like it should be a great hassle to update the firmware to include new features like Skoda Connect. I have contacted a Skoda UK about this but they haven't been much help, referring me back to the dealer who will probably be none the wiser.
  9. I've only in the last few weeks placed an order for a Superb Sportline so I'm doubtful it will come with the newer 9.2" Columbus system. Does anyone know if a firmware update due for release in June will have the Skoda Connect & Google Maps features added?
