    Dashboard vents

Thank you so much! I think this may be beyond my capabilities but I might just give it a go!! J
  2. My cleaner has been a bit overzealous on the vents above the gearstick and has managed to damage the mechanism on both the passenger and drivers side. I've tried to check Youtube to see how easy it is to do, but can't seem to find any for the Kamiq. Could anyone offer some advice please, I think all the parts are there, they just need putting back in the right place and I need to understand how to remove from the dashboard. TIA

    Ride Quality

Good point logiclee, I had a Mk2 previously and it was a Rolls Royce compared to this. I cringe every time I drive it, and although I wouldn't say it spoils my enjoyment, the way the wheels sound when they hit a pothole makes me wonder how long they will last...... JT
  4. Just a general observation really, regarding the ride quality and overall refinement on our Citigo SE. I drive a Mk3 vRS Octavia daily, but at the weekends tend to use SWMBO's car. It's remarkable how well the car rides, particularly for me on long runs, and I never get any complaints of discomfort from the kids in the back. In the Octavia, it's a different proposition altogether, potholes sending shockwaves through the car, and leaving me on countless occasions to jump out and check there isn't a cracked alloy! I know the two cars are incomparable, but for me it's a real feather in the Citigo's cap that a so called "City" car can work like it does in any environment. It's no rocket, but there is something I really like about sounding like you drove it like you stole it at comparatively sane speeds!
  5. I would definitely be interested, I've been thinking about these since we took delivery in November! We are in Wigan, Lancashire. Thanks in advance.
  6. Stick with them Dasan, they suit Race Blue far better than the Anthracite. Which dealer supplied??
  7. Thanks for the positive comments guys, really appreciated! It's a great colour when it's clean and sunny, the 'fleck' really stands out but it's a completely different look when it's filthy and dull!!
  8. Thanks @pist0nbr0ke I think I'll take a look. It's a half hour run for them at the max. Thanks for the info, appreciate it. JT
  9. Thanks themanwithnoaim, I'll look! I'll tell my friend, I'm, I mean he, is very peed off!! JT
  10. Hi All Has anyone used the Alloygator wheel protectors at all? I know a local firm that fits them, just wondered if anyone had any experience with them. I'm asking for a friend who's had his car three weeks and already marked the 19" Xtreme alloy. I could literally cry! Thanks in advance JT
  11. I took a punt on the colour Mark06, its very much a Q car colour. It looks amazing in the sunshine, I'm really pleased. The build quality is also on another level as to how I remember in my Mk 2, the doors and boot shut with an Audi type clunk. Loving it so far........
  12. I've seen the picture mate, yours looks awesome!
  13. Diesel mate. The artificial engine noise in the cabin makes it sound anything but, a friend who drives a BMW 225d couldn't believe how it sounds! Love the torque, even short shifting it's very punchy. Thought I would regret not trying the petrol but I've made the right decision for my own personal preferences. JT.
  14. 200 miles today to Doncaster and back, biblical downpours and then blue skies. The car looks like I've had it a month. Brilliant on the motorway though, I expected the wheels to make the ride very firm, but it's no worse than my last one. Infotainment is great, and the overall build quality feels on a par with Audi, BMW etc. Its been a good day! J
  15. Meteor grey is a fantastic choice, and I can vouch for the fact that it hides the dirt really well. My better half doesn't keep it clean at all, but it never looks filthy.
  16. Agreed, and initially I was worried that it wouldn't be the right choice, "Marmite" if you like for a lot of people. The truth is, I absolutely love it, and that's from someone who had a Race Blue vRS for 7 years. Goes well with a Meteor Grey Fabia! JT
  17. It's taken longer than I expected, but car being collected on Wednesday, now counting down the hours!
  18. Had email from dealer yesterday saying my car has arrived in Preston, now awaiting PDI and paperwork. Don't think it will be available tomorrow unfortunately, but I ordered it 31 March and I'll have it before month end, so I've no complaints. It could be a long weekend..........
  19. Further update - I've had an email through this morning to say that the car is in the country and awaiting transport from Grimsby to Preston. Hopefully I should have her within the next 10 working days, if not sooner! I know it's slightly off topic, but my dealings with Simpsons at Preston have yet again been exemplary, and Paul Shepley, in particular, deserves credit for the professional way he has dealt with the whole process. I asked him to keep me informed and he has done exactly that. I have no hesitation in saying thanks to him, and recommending Simpsons to everyone. Not blowing smoke up anyone, and not linked to them in any way, just very happy with the "customer experience" so far......now just counting down the days! JT
  20. Sadly not the man! My dealer said he would keep me informed of progress, what he did say the last time I spoke to him was that once built there are no delays, so fingers crossed, I would say end of next week I'd like to be collecting!
  21. I was told that my car was being built w/c 1 May, my dealer sent me a screenshot of the details the following day. It was 1 day old, and awaiting transport to port for shipping to Grimsby. All being well, should be no later than 2 weeks, fingers crossed.
  22. Hi Dave We have exactly the same issue with our 63 plate reaction. It's a real pain, the right hand side has buckled inwards, I've pulled it back but it's too weak, it won't stay in place. No idea what to do to remedy..... Rapid or Octavia?? For me, Octavia, all day long. Had my vRS for 6 years, loved it and have another ordered. I've driven other variants and loved them all. Had a Rapid as a holiday rental in Spain, nice car, but space wise, no contest for our family of four. J
