Hi, welcome to the Forum, i too am a fisherman (sea) and i carry both my rods 13ft 6 ins long in a rod holdall plus a 6ft tripod in my 2013 octavia estate, i push down the ski/armrest and shove them through until resting on the front armrest then shut down the tailgate and push the rods back till they touch the inner tailgate, takes my four rods in equal halves in a daiwa holdall without a problem, hope this helps.

Winter normally hammers batteries,with the constant use of lights,heater,wipers and so on especially as already said doing short journeys and this has been a long winter,my 2013 Elegance is still on it`s original battery but by saying this will probably give it the kiss of death...

A lot of the "stealers" take them out and sell them on E bay too.

My heated leather (Elegance) are starting to give way after 124000 mls but maybe it`s because i`m a big fat 😟🙁🙄😮🙂😀.

Skoda indie told me 5 years or 100000 as the water pump normally goes first,mine went about 96000 if i remember right.

I`m colour blind they all look silver to me.....

Similar happened to me on both my mk2 and mk 3 manual diesel,turned out to be the master cylinder,new kit/cylinder solved it but both happened after quite a high mileage.

Strangely my previous octavia had an advisory for 2 years running for a "misting" shocker which on the 3rd year test seemed to have cured it`s self,my current octavia 2013 with 120000 has now had it`s second MOT with the same problem and i`m wondering (hoping!!) if the same thing will happen,does lightning strike twice...watch this space.

I was taught always lock handbrake before deselecting gear just in case....

I think only the elegance and l&K had them as standard,not sure about the later sel.

Perhaps the sales manager should use it as a personal company car for driving his family around,maybe his attitude may change......

Strange not doing the water pump at the same time normally standard fare for VAG belt change at mileage.

2013 2.0 tdi Elegance 118000,few rattles and groans but i`ve always been like that 😀

Having a manual gearbox i feel a little left out on this concern although my elderly sister in law is doing her level best to create a similar sound when sitting in the rear seat after a meal.....

I`ve had a older TDI tuning one on my 2013 150ps Elegance diesel for some years now on a high setting without any issues,although i dropped it down a couple for the economy factor this year but now going to treat myself to a car change as a retirement present so mine will end up in the usual place.

Get one,i hope you may never need it but it`s always there if you do!

Hold tight mine had the same problem,i couldn`t see any leakage under the gear box nor feel any wet in the carpets under the pedal, it turned out to be the main seel in the master cylinder,not sure if they still do a kit or you have to buy a complete new one,not to sure if you need to bleed the brakes as well as i think the master cylinder controls these and my memory not so good so i can`t confirm,i`d get an expert opinion from a quality independent as you may not need to drop the gearbox if that`s the case.

My 2010 plate diesel VRs had the same problem,they renewed the slave cylinder and 3 days later it went again,got a call out and into a different garage,replaced master cylinder stopped it reoccuring,fluid seeping around the piston seel so i was told hence pumping could sometimes bring it back up but it wouldn`t last,i was also told there was a master cylinder kit for this but not sure so don`t quote me.I done another 20000 mls without it happening again then sold the car,i`d check to see if there is a kit for it first...oh yeah nearly forgot to say i`d just had a new clutch 3 months before the slave cylinder renewal.

My 2013 elegance has heated full leather,looks good,feels good but can get a bit hot in the full sun so i use seat covers for the summer.

Hi Guys,both my heated mirrors haven`t worked for a long while now (2013 elegance estate) although everything else pertaining to the mirrors does,i popped the lenses out this morning and cleaned the contacts but still no joy,cars done 112000 miles,am i missing something?..a fuse maybe? all help appreciated.

It is Sacha,i think the chap has put it in the wrong part of the forum as his profile states 2012 vrs (if that is the vehicle he means !)
