I installed my dynamic mirror indicators today. Quite easy to fit. I have fat fingers and am not good at stuff like this but it only took me 45 minutes to do while I was filming. I have made an install video to help anyone wanting to do this. Links for where to buy are in the YouTube description.

Hi, I've had an error flash up on my 2015 vRS to do with the airbag. I get "Error: Airbag" with the airbag symbol on the MFD every time I start my car and then the airbag light on the dash comes on. I've tried clearing the error using OBDeleven but this doesn't work. The attached photos show the message on the dash and also the error code on OBDeleven. I took my car to a local VAG specialist and they plugged the car into VCDS and they also couldn't clear the fault. They told me that the airbag control unit is faulty and I need a replacement. Apparently the part costs £530 plus VAT and requires the dash to come off to access it so the total cost including labour will be around £900! I've had the car for a year and a half and to my knowledge the car has never been in an accident. I just wondered if anyone on here has had a similar issue? I've done a search but can't see anyone who couldn't clear this fault. I've got the car booked into my local Skoda dealer for a second opinion. Thanks guys.

I have a USB charger like the one in your link plugged permanently into my car. Have had no battery issues.

I updated my MIB1 firmware today. Very easy. Took about 35 minutes I just went out for a gentle country drive while it was doing the updating.

To be honest it depends on the angle you look at. From certain angles it does look out of place but I think it looks good overall. Another angle for you

No they didn't say exactly what they meant by the misuse of the box! Only thing I can think of is maybe having the box set on too high a setting. Though this is not likely as I had mine on 2-1 since I fitted it. Maybe the high temperatures may have caused it? I'll refit at the weekend and see if it happens again. Hi did you get this sorted? I've had my box off for a few weeks now and there's been no recurrence of the warning lights. i contacted DUTK and because I bought my box second hand they won't talk to me about it apart from saying that they have seen this issue happen and it usually is due to misuse of the box! Not sure how I misused the box given it had been in the car for over a month and worked fine. I might try refitting the box again and see what happens.

My car is a manual diesel. Was running it on 2-1 since I got it about 6 weeks ago.

Hmm I wonder if dtuk know about this? I might contact them. Not good having just spent £300+ on the box! Have you put your box back on?

Oh that makes sense I guess in this weather. I had it again on my way home from work. Rev counter showed 1k rpm at idle. I'll keep tabs on it and see if I can spot a pattern

I had a DTUK CRD3 box fitted to my car when the issue happened. I removed the box over the weekend and the warning hasn't happened again. I think it must have been something to do with this. I haven't been to the dealers about it. I have noticed though that my car is doing DPF regenerations every few days for about a week or so now. I'm not sure if this is connected to this, if it's another issue or if this is just normal in the hot weather we are having.

Thanks for your reply. My car was built in April 2015 I think. The same issue happened again this morning twice. And also another time when I had stopped at some lights the start stop activated and then a couple of seconds later the car started again and the same error came up. I'll have it booked in at the dealers.

I wonder if any of you have had this issue. This morning I started my Octavia Tdi vRS and the glow ply light started flashing and a message something like "start stop system error" flashed up on the MFD. I turned the car off and on and it all cleared. The car has been running fine since and start/ stop has been working ok too. I've searched on the forum and found a post on the Fabia section that said it could be EGR issues. Has anyone with an Octavia had tbis? Anything to worry about? Thanks for your help!

Hi Ron, good to hear from you. I went from a Mazda 6 Sport to my current Octavia vRS. I was very impressed with the build quality of the Octavia when I test drove it and the 2 litre diesel engine is a peach. My Mazda was a 2.2 diesel but the Skoda's more than matches the performance. Funny you should mention the suspension - the only gripe I have with the car is that the suspension on the vRS is very hard. You feel every bump in the road, and there are plenty of those where I live. That said, the car corners like it is on rails. I would however be interested to see if there is any way of softening the suspension up a little and sacrificing some road holding at a reasonable price.

Hi just a quick question for you guys...I've tried searching around on the internet and looking in my manual but can't get a definitive answer. What type of fuse would my Octavia vRS (2015) take? Is it a standard blade fuse or a mini fuse? I want to hard wire my dashcam into the fuse box and want to be sure I buy the correct piggy back fuse connector. Thansk in advance!

Have you got a model number for your box? And does this box only have an effect in sport mode?

I had a Bluespark tuning box in my old car, Mazda 6 Sport. Do you know how a box would work in the Octavia given it has different engine mapping settings with the VRS button?
