  1. This is my local dealer. They've been there about a year and the premises used to be a Peugeot dealer (and something else before that). It's a very small franchise: limited customer parking, a few sales desks, a manager's office and a couple of service/parts desks. I visited when I was looking for my Octavia VRS and was very clear I was interested in business leasing. They were helpful to a degree but clearly leasing isn't their thing. After trying to sell the vehicle I test drove I was given the card of the group's leasing and finance expert. She's based in Gloucester and Bristol (splits her time between both) and is an absolute legend. If it weren't for her I'd have gone elsewhere. Ill be taking the car to Weston for servicing so I'll update my review once I've had more engagement with them.
  2. No issues thus far. I've connected an iPad, iPod and my iPhone to the car (2017 model) and it works fine.
  3. That's what I do. Is there another way? I like the fact that it charges my phone whilst playing music.
  4. Agreed. I originally approached my local dealer (they've got three or four dealerships) and they weren't much use, particularly as I wanted to lease the vehicle rather than own it outright. They kept trying to sell me nearly-new Octavias and it wasn't until I went to the head office dealership (60 miles away) that I got any sense out of them. My worst experience, however, was with Hyundai when I was reducing my shortlist. It originally contained 5 vehicles: Hyundai Tucson, VW Golf GTD, Seat Leon FR, Octavia VRS & VW Tiguan R Line. To cut a long story short I popped into the Hyundai dealer and wanted to drive a Tucson and talk prices. The guy was really rude and basically told me to "come back when you've decided that the Tucson is for you, then we won't waste each other's time"! I put a complaint in to Hyundai UK within 24 hours.
  5. I think the delay might be down to the availability of the facelift vehicle. I took the last of the 'old' shape and ordered it in Feb (for a March delivery) and received it on a '17 plate. I was after an estate in 'hooligan green' with the bigger wheels but took one in metallic grey rather than wait as I get a company car allowance and need it for work. 12 - 14 weeks is not unrealistic. How fixed is your options criterion (spec, colour etc)?
  6. Afternoon, Having changed jobs recently I've recently treated myself to an Octavia vRS Estate. I'm really pleased with it and look forward to exchanging stories with you on this forum.
