  1. I'm pleased with it, had to call in the garage where I bought it from today and they were so impressed with some of the mods they even took pictures.
  2. Attempt 2 at the aggressive front end. This time I've gone a little subtler just tweaking the bottom strip in the middle. It was raining on the first image so the bubbles are actually rain water not bubbles in the finish.
  3. I've been struggling to find a rear bumper protector that I like, I've had them on other models which were sculpted up the sides not just the bottom which I liked the look of even if they never fitted as good as they should. Anyways, as a temporary measure I've made my own out of plastidip as I'd hate for my dogs to scratch the paint before I find one. What do you think?
  4. Quite possibly, but on the Mercedes it ties in with the other chrome on the exterior, the only other chrome on my sportline was the badges which have now either been removed or are now Matte black. Just a little consistency. I've seen some white Mercedes where these are red , not sure if aftermarket of a model specific colour, considering red on mine.
  5. I'm sure you'll love the sportline combi, especially the 280. Would have loved a 280 but had to settle for the 150 diesel and still Very happy, a tad jealous aswell. What colour have you gone for?
  6. One slightly wider shot showing the stripe, newly tinted rear windows and Matt black exhaust trim, oh and black badges. Also a closeup of the sportline badge at the front of the stripe, although you'll see I missed a bit underneath (luckily not noticeable unless you're a toddler)
  7. Neither had I until last week, first thing I did was the badges, just watch a few you tube videos especially fonzi from dipmycar.com and you'll be fine. Even any overspeay can be wiped off so have a go.
  8. I was thinking of doing them a metallic red plastidip along with the wing mirrors but not sure it was going to look right. Kinda liking just the black and white thing at the moment but give it a month or two and can always redo them red.
  9. I have a personal dislike for Chrome on the outside of cars, especially when they're mine and everything else on them is BLACK. Not sure what Skoda was thinking with the strips of chrome in the rear bumber in place of exhausts but I hate them. I had some Platidip left and half an hour so this is what happened.
  10. Unfortunately this is as far as I can get at the minute. But will be able to get some more photos tomorrow.
  11. I know most people are going to hate this but I did it anyway. A few months ago I saw a white bmw 3 series with black stripes down the side where the body cut in and I thought it looked really good. I be Live it's the m-perfformance decals. So it's Sunday, I've half a tin of plastidip and an hour to spare, and here is the results.
  12. That's the amazing beauty of plastidip, you mask a square bigger than the badge and spray it all, and once finished you start to peel the rubber off at the edge and it automatically cuts around the badge and you have a perfect cut Matt black badge.
  13. The beauty of plastidip is you spray it on the car and can peel it off if you make a mistake. Wouldn't trust myself with plasticity as that's permanent.
  14. I think it's the joining in with the fog lights that doesn't help. I was considering putting a white stripe between the black and the lens but don't think it would have made much difference. This rough mock up also showed black at the side of windscreen idea, but again in real life dont think would work.
  15. It's plastidip. I've done the front and rear on mine and the girlfriends Fabia Monte Carlo. Pretty quick and easy, although must have watched hours of you tube videos for hints and tips.
