Superb Xenon Issue
FloatingBrick replied to Pidge_Sportline's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Noticed that my Xenons have pointed down to the ground on start up during the past few days, mostly when it's around zero degrees or less. Had to pull over, switch engine and lights off, restart the car, and everything was fine then. I'll get it booked in for re-coding. -
Steel Grey Sportline- good or bad option?
FloatingBrick replied to casati's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Meteor Grey looks like the car has arrived in primer, ready to be painted -
Had mine in at the dealers today to check a suspension noise which sounds a bit like a minor worn suspension part around the n/s/f, most noticeable when driving over broken road surface. They checked the bushes and mechanical parts and all seemed fine, but swapped the tyres from front to rear as the mechanic believed that a slight feathering effect on the n/s/f tyre is causing the suspension to be noisy? I'm not entirely convinced but I'll listen out for it during the next couple of days.

Combi rearscreen washer jet adjustment??
FloatingBrick replied to TGR's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
My passenger-side front washer jet sprayed over the top of the windscreen onto the roof, but I noticed that you can adjust the height of the spray nozzle by adjusting a small torx screw to the side of the nozzle, now it sprays perfectly. Shame I can't do the same on the rear window -

Where did you get your cycle rack from? I was thinking about getting a bike rack for the roof bars but like your idea. -

Ha ha, it is a bit of a beasty. Thankfully the Skoda makes light work of tugging it around the country -

I had the choice of a Passat SE Business Edition saloon or Superb SE-L estate (or the usual Mondeo, Insignia etc). Passat was nice but didn't seem to represent the same value, and I preferred the chiselled look of the Skoda opposed to mundane look of the VW. Personal opinion but I couldn't tell any quality difference between the two cars and i genuinely preferred the interior design of the Skoda too. That said, if I'd been given a Passat I'm sure I would be just as happy in truth.

Now't rubbishy about your pic, thanks for sharing it. Liking the wheel choice, don't see many of that style. I asked for the same wheels on mine, but ended up with standard Zenith's (company car so they probably just ordered what was available). Shame they've stopped selling the Superb in red too. -
Auto headlights sensitivity
FloatingBrick replied to FloatingBrick's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Thanks wooyay, Sound technical lol -
I'm just being fussy, but is there a way of adjusting the sensitivity of the Auto Headlights (Xenon) as mine seem to come on quite early compared to other cars with auto headlights? I've already changed the Light Delay setting to 'Late' in the car settings menu on the screen as I'm assuming this means that the auto headlights will come on later? But they still seem to come on way too early, for example when driving near trees whilst the light is still reasonably good. I'm not precious about it, but as the LED daytime running lights are so bright and clear there seems little need to have the headlights on so early. Also, on the top of the dash, behind the speaker under the windscreen there is a black flat bit of plastic in the middle of the air vent (about the size of a matchbox). It looks like a sensor or something similar. I thought it might be the light sensor for the headlights but when I've covered it up the headlights don't come on, so it's not that. I'm just curious as to what it does?

Great choice - I've got the SE-L Estate with retractable tow bar too. Fab car - I'm sure you'll enjoy it...
