I have always loved my Skodas (Yeti, Fabia, Octavia so far!) but I don't really like the lack of short cut buttons that VW Group seem to be rolling out. I think I've noticed on the pictures that the new Octavia seems to have more short cuts than either the new Golf or Leon but it's difficult to tell. Is this true as if it is it will certainly make an Octavia a more likely next car............when the Vrs eventually arrives. Thanks

Ok thanks -
Was just thinking of buying a Vrs Petrol and heard has been discontinued. Is that true and does anyone know why? Is the diesel on way out as well? Thanks

VRs replacement gear knob

Ok thanks very much. Seems very expensive for what it is. Was it easy to fit? Thanks -
I am looking for a replacement as the numbers have completely disappeared. Does anyone know anywhere in the UK where I can get one at a reasonable price. They seem to be £30 which seems a huge amount for a bit of plastic. I know superskoda sell them for 19 Euro but I could get the payment system to work. Thanks

I have returned to owning a Vrs after nearly 10 years as I want to have a cheap, fun and reliable car so we can over pay on the mortgage ( and perhaps retire a bit early!). It's a 92k miles model and looks a bit care worn. However I had forgotten how much fun and how comfortable it was! I do how they survive as a classic. My question; is there any way to increase the volume of the parking sensors as they are extremely quiet and incidentally don't seem to start working until you are very near any obstruction. Thanks
