  1. And another update, I purchased 3 glow plugs at £12 each. I did not change the one with a sensor fitted as Skoda wanted £127 for it. But what was interesting is the state of cylinder no 4's Glow Plug. What do we think is happening... its the dirty one LOL .
  2. Well I got one and this is what it come up with ....Just a very quick question the caps on the glow plugs are very stiff is there a tool to remove them ?? the 157.6 is number 2 and the 00.8 number 4
  3. Hi sorry if this has been asked before but what's a good fault code reader for a 2016 Skoda superb ??? I have seen some on Amazon.. Regards Terry
  4. Where is the best place to get a second hand seat from as I may need to change myself
  5. Hi All many thanks for the replies, as for my seats I use auto Glym on my seats when I clean and feed them. My main issue is it should not happen in the first place and when it does they should address it. I base this on my leather sofa at home and is condition with very little care against my car seat with care. As has already been mentioned the rest of the seat is fine even the parts I sit on for long periods. This whole situation has marred my experience with Skoda and I am unlikely to have another.....and that is a shame.. Regards Terry
  6. Hi GAG Many thanks for the reply this is where I am so at least they are consistant in their disregard for customers. This is my 2nd Superb the first having the emissions issue. The best I have managed to get out of them is a £300 reduction to the £1800 price for the work, Skoda UK have just gone with what the dealers have said. What I find interesting is that some people have had this issue and others have not, given leather is a natural product it would seem the quality can change from seat to seat. So I don't see why its not covered by warranty.. Regards Terry
  7. LOL yes I do wear jeans but they don't have studs on the backs, I also dont hang my keys on the side of my trousers...... Regards Terry I am currently trying to get hold of a new or newish seat cover
  8. Is it me or is the leather used on the Mk3 Superb just rubbish, I have a 2016 L&K with 40,000 on the clock and the front drivers seat is a right mess. The leather is worn and cracked. Both the dealer and Skoda UK are not interested unless I pay £1800 to have the covers replaced. I have a friend with a superb 15 years old and the front drivers seat is ok all but a bit shiny. Terry
  9. so the question is why can we drive our cars away without the key even with the car sounding a dash notice that the key is not detected. I have ordered a key pouch of Amazon It seems obvious that with out the key present the car should not be able to be driven away at all let alone for ever. Regards Terry
  10. Hi I don't seem to be able to get this working on mine L&K Superb estate 2016 Regards Terry
  11. what is very interesting is that you can open my car start it up, then get out put the key in the house and drive around the block !! given that the thieves are using a device that picks up the signal from the key fob in say the hallway of your house and boost it so the car receives it so can be opened and started. why would you be able to drive the car without the key. Regards Terry
  12. Yes if you could ask them what or where they get the code from to activate the towbar software as i can point me local dealers in the right direction
  13. well almost everything is working a quick spin sorted out most. I still have front assist not available so no CC either. I booked it in to my local skoda to have the Trailer enabled and after an hour they said there was an error installing it so they have raised a tec question. They think the elects can't be used on my version of Superb !! I have spoken to a local towbar fitter and he said that if all your lights are working it has been connected correctly and he can sort out the programming for me. I would really like to have the skoda software installed though as the little LED in the boot does not work at the moment... Regards Terry
  14. right then I have now fitted the towbar and installed the Trailer prep elect's I had to disconnect the battery and passenger air bag. on re connecting the battery I have some errors. 1 Airbag error. 2 Hill hold error 3 Tyre pressure error all 4 4 Park assist error 5 Stability error do these have to be reset at skoda or can they be done by me ??? Regards Terry
