Bluetooth conection Nexus 5X to Superb Elegance
Ade7 replied to Ade7's topic in Audio, Electronics and Security
A quick update. I'm not sure how I managed this but I have connected my phone to the car successfully. Previously I presume I have always connected my phones via HFP as there was never the option of SMS on the headunit. How when my phone is connected there is the SMS option and there is a premium logo on the maxidot so i presume it's connected via rSAP. This is great, however via rSAP it means you can only make or receive a call via the car and not the phone. Also as the phones signal is controlled via the car the phone has no signal and so the navigation or and media streaming can't be used. There is a work round for this. When I get in the car the phone connects automatically via rSAP. I then disconnect the Bluetooth, either via the HU or the phone. I then connect the phone via the media player option. This connects the phone via HFP and I can use the handsfree and the phone itself has signal for navigation and media. If I could work out how to switch between HFP and rSAP I would try HFP. However there isn't the options on my maxidot you suggested Langers. -

How do you switch between HFP and rSAP? With other phones connected you can dial via the Columbus and access the phonebook and call registers. is it possible to upgrade to a 3C8 035 730 E or another newer module? -

Hi. The BT module 5N0 035 730 D and the phone is running Android 7.1.2. Great phone, great car. I'd just like them to work together. -
I have a 2011 Superb Elegance with the Columbus headunit. I have swapped phones to a Nexus 5X which I am having problems pairing to the car. I am unable to pair it as a phone. I can detect it and enter in the pairing code but then it just hangs and won't connect. I can pair it as a media device to play music ok. I've tried un-ticking the sync contacts option. I've tried a couple of Nexus 5X's both which had the same issues. Other phones have been fine. Has anyone got any suggestions, this is driving me crazy and I'd really like to be able to use my phone.
