  1. I don't have anything to compare with on the Yeti but I'm more than happy with the Goodyear Efficient Grip that come on mine from factory. Excellent in the wet. I shouldn't need to replace them before the lease Yeti goes back next September, due to wear at least. I had Hankook on my BMW 330ci and I wouldn't look past them again when buying mid-range. No complaints on a RWD car with twice the power of the Yeti. Also a fan of Uniroyal Rainsports in the mid-range.
  2. Thanks for this. I'll be sure to let the dealer know of such a patch when it's in with them. It started with the rear first and my teenager got a mouthful from me as he was intentionally closing his arm in it! Front has been doing it this past week so I think he's owed an apology, or maybe I'll say nothing...
  3. I'm pondering what to opt for next as I'm almost halfway through my lease. If another small SUV the only one I like the look of at the moment is the Toyota C-HR. I'm talking myself into a petrol Octavia VRS though as the babba will be into a booster seat by then and won't have to worry about my back!
  4. Are you folding your mirrors in? I'm having an issue with my passenger side front and rear in that they sometimes go back down half way as if something is catching in them. Seems to happen more often when raining. Holding the fob to fold the mirrors results in them going down sometimes. PITA, will say to dealer when it's getting its first service next month.
  5. That's horrific Bowdie! I think it's safe to say the Karoq has battered Yeti residuals. I went for a great PCH deal on my SEL Drive so, going by your numbers, VWFS will end up paying twice as much as I am for my Yeti!
  6. Is it a dealer service department or bodyshop fitting it? I had to have a rear door panel replaced and the Skoda-approved bodyshop did a perfect job.
  7. Check both have been updated. No issue with my S7 and Amundsen II at all. It's always worked as it should. What Android media player are you using? I have no issue with Poweramp and I also use Spotify and Amazon Music Unlimited.
  8. The LED tail lights were either bundled or specced by dealer. When I ordered my SEL Drive in April they were standard on the SEL Drive but not the SE.
  9. Luckily for the wife, I work nights 4 on / 4 off!
  10. If I lived alone the heating wouldn't be on at all. Unfortunately a wife and young child means I have to tolerate it at home. Dual zone AC must have saved us a few disagreements by now! It supposedly controls the moisture in winter too so i just keep it on most of the time unless it's very cold. I think I'm powered by a nuclear reactor!
  11. I never turn off my aircon, I doubt his mirrors are an issue.
  12. Enjoy it. I love my Yeti. Not as much as my RWD 330i mind, but it's a different kind of enjoyment. I enjoy visiting the fuel station half the number of times, the reliability and not losing track of my speed and risk of points on a clean licence! I was tempted by a petrol Octavia VRS if I hated the Yeti but it made sense with the arrival of a second child and I can't help but be impressed by the little 1.2tsi. Once he's a bit older and my lease is up in 2019 I might then switch to a VRS.
  13. I have one of these which came with a mini fuse piggyback rather than full size. I am using fuse 21 which appears to be ignition live. No issue with space. If anyone knows of any issue with this fuse please do let me know! 14. It's great to hear a good report about Stewart's as anything I have heard hasn't been good! I'll maybe consider them for servicing when my first comes around. I was the same with the Yeti. I was originally looking either a Kuga or a Quashqai but neither were as close in terms of price and any deals I could find close were low trim levels.
  15. Where in Northern Ireland are you? I got mine from Abraham's in Lurgan. Noticed the sorry looking flag and reg on the Agila. With baby number 1 I assume you're significantly younger than the other Yeti drivers I see around Belfast. I'm 35 and haven't seen anyone else under 50, possibly 60 in one! Had a few nice seniors question me about it too. Let a guy sit in it. I love it, coming from a BMW 330ci too that I have on SORN. Different diving experience. I just cruise along happily where the BM just invites you to floor it! I also probably visit the petrol station a third of what I used to.
