  1. Thanks. I went back to the body shop (yes insurance one) but it’s been 6 months and they are not interested. Your link was very helpful. I tried fixing this again today. It’s the lamp washer coupler which is where the leak is coming from. I replace the o-ring and clip but it still leaks, or though less so. The clip in the attached link/image is the other way up to how I was attaching it, although if you do a google search for it there are images with it both ways. Maybe that’s the issue. I will have another look tomorrow. Thanks again
  2. I have managed to identify the problem of my screen wash leak The bottom tubing that comes out and is accessible if you take of the wheel arch skirting is the issue The o ring is all chewed up There is no clip I am really annoyed as the front drivers side was repaired after my wife bumped into someone (her words not mine!) and not only have I found this but the actual whole housing to the front drivers light is also broken and has not been replaced. Anyway, moan over with, anyone know how I could source another clip and o ring (the later I assume is easier to find and I may have one lying around).
  3. That’s what I figured, any tips on how to best access this or is it a case of squeezing your hand in, unclipping and then reclipping
  4. We have had to had the fuel pipes on the manifold replaced recently on our 3 year old Yeti (not sure the exact work but they said they had to take the manifold off) Skoda did the work. We have had the car back and now the screen wash is leaking from the connector on the front drivers side. I took the fog light off as per this forum, and can see the leak but cannot unclip and clip the connector back in to see if that fixes it as it is inaccessible. Would the work that Skoda have done meant that they needed could have caused this do you think, and if so could I go back to them to fix it. Rather annoying.
  5. This is excellent. I was just about to buy a replacement off Fleabay for around £200. Thank you @chimaera and @Kevlock To add to this: Take of the ends as described Under these is the "sealed unit". One end is the spring end. You can easily unclip this and fix as Chimaera describes Be careful not to let the spring fly back in. I did when I tried to answer my phone, and I had to get a loop of wire to drag out the spring. Really arse. Then put it back together and wind it up. Don't over wind or it will break again. As I found out. The hard way. About 10 to 15 full turns. Works a dream. Thanks again.
  6. I appreciate that this is an old thread but I have been having got same issue with a Bolero on a new Yeti, smart link activated and which previously worked seamlessly. My iPhone and my wife both run iOS12. I changed leads but no joy It affected two different phones I ended up reseting the Bolero by holding down the power key for 10s. This worked and all iOS devices work again. Hope this helps someone.
  7. Weirdly I just got back in the car and all the options have come back. Maybe I need a new battery.......
  8. I agree it is very odd. Even with a flat battery (we don't), I wouldn't expect it to forget a few settings. All the other bits such as pairing of devices, remotes etc is intact. I did note that the columbus asked me for a country when I used the nav on it recently. But absolutely no other issues.
  9. I couldn’t find the answer to this else where, apologies if it is. skoda superb mk2 elegance with Columbus and maxi dot. The other day I turned the car on, drove off and noticed I couldn’t turn the Columbus on. It normally automatically turns on. I noticed that the maxidot had fewer options. I pulled over and turned the car off and on. It all came back on and I thought was back to normal. This morning I noticed all the windows were slightly ajar. I went into the maxi dot as I had turned this off under convenience previously, but there is no convenience any more and lots of the settings have disappeared. Any ideas?
  10. I already own a superb and am very happy with it. I’m looking at buying a Yeti as a second car, for the wife and kids as a run around. Are there any views on 1.2TSI with over 70k on the clock? Anything to look at in particular?
  11. I've done a little bit of mechanics on my old vehicles but have never attempted a wheel bearing due to having to get the damn thing out if pressed in and not investing in a kit. The bearings on my skoda superb Mk2 sound like they may have gone and I found this vide which makes the whole process look painless. Can this be right or is that a whole kit rather than just replacing the bearing?
  12. All fixed, found someone with VCDS and he kindly hooked it up, ticked the BAP box and it now communicates. I think he followed these instructions: http://blog.videgro.net/2012/11/navigation-and-audio-menu-gone-from-mfa-after-upgrade-of-rns-510/ Thanks for you replies and interest, a really good forum and members.
  13. Thanks guys, unfortunately the fix did not work. I have downgraded to 3xxx as I thought before reading the replies that it might help. I'm looking for VAGCOM help in my area. Thanks for the input. Wish I'd know before I did this. Oh well. Thanks again.
  14. Thanks Rustynuts. I feel like a right plonker. It was version 4120 that I installed. Everything works on the Columbus and the Multidot works but they do not seem to be communicating with each other. I'll have a look at the VCDS user list. Thanks.
  15. I just bought a superb mk2 with a Columbus satnav. I updated the firmware to 4125 as per this site and now my multi dot display does not show the navigation or audio options. Really disappointed in myself. There's clearly a communication issue but I've no idea what to do now to fix it. I see some people are talking about activating the bap (what's this?) or using something called vcds. Any help greatly appreciated. I'm living near Godalming if someone can help?
