  1. Really want to go for H&R or Eibach and don't want any cheap brands. Same with tyres buying budgets is false economy especially when it comes to safety.
  2. Was thinking of ordering some 15mm hubcentric spacers as the offset on the 19's is pretty poor. The bolts are included but you have to specify the bolt head you want, radius or tapered. Does anyone know the correct bolts to order? https://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/car-parts/skoda/octavia/hr-trak-15mm-30mm-per-axle-hubcentric-wheel-spacers-boltsoctavia-5e-pcd-5112-centre-bore-571-bolt-thread-14x15 Thanks in advance James
  3. 235/35/19's or I meant 235/40/18's as the 18's run a 40 profile which wouldnt give much of a speedo error.
  4. Sounds like they have a better ET than the 19 inch Xtreame's. Think I might look at getting a set of these as I'm sure the car will ride better especially if fitted with 235/40's rather than 225/35's. James
  5. As per title, has anyone fitted the 18 inch Trinity wheel to a Mk3 Octavia vRS? http://www.theskodashop.co.uk/product/Trinity_Anthracite_18"_3T0071498AHA7 James
  6. Sounds like fitting 235/35's to the Xtremes is a better option than 225/35's if it offers a bit more rim protection and I imagine the ride will be slightly better.
  7. Would be good to see some pictures of your new Octavia. James
  8. So you would recommend 235/35's over the 225? I know they would fit the 19 inch Xtreame's but do you have to inform insurance company if you change tyre size? James
  9. The shortest route might involve using B-roads where as using a longer route on A-roads may be quicker. James
  10. I have also wondered what the 3 options were and like a typical guy can't be bothered to read the manual. James
  11. I find the sunset glass to be dark enough. What wheels have you got on your estate? James
  12. Finally got round to fitting the new Mann air filter, even says on the airbox housing that a Mann filter is recommended. One of the torx screws is a bit difficult to reach but easy enough to move one of the sensors out of the way to reach the screw head. The old filter is only 13,200 miles old but this picture shows how dirty it is. I'm not sure how often its supposed to be changed but I will be changing it every 10k. James
  13. Yes I now remember reading somewhere that the facelift has a glass screen. I like the standard Columbus screen on my Mk3 as it doesn't show fingerprints, I do keep a small microfiber cloth under the armrest to dust off the screen if necessary. James
