Hello Norm I am not quite sure what you are getting at, but the maxidot is not a computer, its simply a display in the dashboard. Now in that display you might have several options depending on how you car is setup/built. I.E. if you have a SatNav installed you would have SatNav information shown in your maxidot display. So the steering wheel doesnt have anything to do with maxidot or computers As far as I know, adjustment of lights for continental driving should be possible for standard lights and xeon's. Whether or not you can change them without leaving the drivers seat is another questions. I would guess it would be possible if you had xeons installed because of their fancy levelling system, but I'll leave that to others to answer. In my car, which have maxidot and standard lights, I don't have the possibility to adjust lights for continental driving. I would have to get my hands dirty under the hood.

First of, welcome to briskoda. 1. I've been for a drive but it still hasn't locked to any satellites. At first it said 0/0, then 0/14 then finally 0/15. Should I just be patient and wait till it gets lock? The unit seemed to be last used in Czech Republic, so perhaps it's confused about its location? Could be slow, but make sure your GPS antenna is properly connected. Where is the antenna located? 2. The steering controls don't seem to work - VAG-COM issue? Should be yes 3. Is there an easy way of finding out map/firmware version number? I have then new 3d fader thing if that helps See this topic http://briskoda.net/ice-security-insurance/how-check-rns510-map-version/143899/ 4. Does the navigation need calibrating? I'm sure I read somewhere that you have to park up next to road and then change some setting...shoot me down if I'm wrong Nope. 5. Batch copying MP3s - to be fair I've not even tried this yet, is there an easy way to do this? I've done this using folders with artists/albumname/mp3's from a dvd with sucsess.

Looks good m8, might just be the dark pictures (around the wheels) that makes them look too big. Drop it down

How to check RNS510 Map version?
kryppe replied to Stoofa's topic in Audio, Electronics and Security
To check which version you have loaded you can press and hold the setup button as the RNS boots and the service menu will appear after around 20 seconds -
