No exhaust valves on my 272 :-(
Howardv replied to SteHaworth's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
In real life, the only thing your missing out on (without the valved exhaust) is a slightly deeper exhaust-sound when idling... I have never been able to tell if the valves are open or closed when driving. However, the difference in valve position is probably more noticeable with a resonator delete or with a aftermarket system with valve function. -
dash cam cable routing (hardwire)
Howardv replied to el55ham's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
To be honest, it's probably much easier to get the cable down to the fuse box.. took me about 20-25 minutes to install everything, and would guess the cable routing was about 5 min. -

Have been thinking of mounting a dashcam for a while, and got inspired when reading about it yesterday. So went to my local shop an got a camera and the power magic pro for hardwiring/possibility to use parking mode. Really easy to install, and happy with the result. -
What have you done to your Superb III today?

Also looks like a good example on the importance of a proper "prewash" before any wash mitt/sponge touches the car And yes, sponge - it's actually preferred by a lot of detailers, you just have to buy the correct type of sponge

Have seen some Norwegians on 10x20 wheels, so yes it's possible (ET45 if I remember correctly). Personally I think it looks a bit strange with wide 10J at the front 8,5x20 Et 33-41 on 245/35-20 tyres seems to be most common over here.

I’m on 235/40/R19 Continental ContiVikingContact 6. But not sure if you can get them in the UK

Removed the snow guard on my 280 a while ago. Didn’t notice anything

Lowering springs for 280 Sportline 4x4?
Howardv replied to dfirman's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Do you have personal experience with lowering springs? Doesn't sound like it from your comment. I have been using Eibach Pro springs on my previous car. It's just a little bit firmer, and with less "bouncing". We are not talking about slamming the car to the ground with low cost coilovers here -
try doing a double click about the same speed you do on a PC mouse, but on the second click you just hold it down. Need to hold it for a second or two until you see the tailgate starts to close.

One of the most common complaints I hear about the superb is about suspension. To soft, handles like a boat etc. Most of the people I have talked to with DCC always use sport settings on the suspension. So in my opinion good quality lowering springs is not only for the looks. It depends on what ride quality you prefer. Any Audi or BMW is way more stiff in their comfort setting then my Superb in sport -
Don’t know. Have Kessy on mine Did some testing now... works as long as the key is in range of the car (able to unlock/lock car) about 40m
-
Not if you do the double click and hold this command will close the tailgate from any distance (within the signal range of the keyfob)

Normally an average of 31-32mpg. My personal best is 40mpg

http://www.milenco.com/products/mirrors/milenco-aero-3-xl-mirror @penguin17 lots of space in the caravan, but because of weight restrictions on the caravan I use the roof box for extra storage.
