  1. ACC works well with a manual gearbox, you just don't get the full benefits. It will almost follow to stop, you just need to change down as you slow and it will not go to a stop. Other than that and changing gear it works the same. I have the same issue with manual and DSG in that when pulling out to overtake on a motorway the pick up is quite slow if you have lost speed, even in sport the DSG accelerates quite slowly, it also seems to pause before picking up speed. I find in both the manual and DSG I need to push the accelerator to get the car to move.
  2. I had the issue with the fuel consumption data resetting on a 2017 2.0 SE technology, it happened frequently during the time I had the car. Never really bothered me as it was a company car so I never got it looked at. I didn't have VC on that but will have on my new one when it arrives
  3. I have been driving a manual 2.0 150 Superb SE Technology for the last 3 years up until Christmas. Currently I have a temporary VW Passat 1.6 diesel SE business DSG (7 speed). I have a 2.0 150 DSG Superb SE Technology on order, due sometime in the next month or two. This is the longest I have driven a DSG for and overall I’m enjoying the experience, a bit of a learning curve with the snow and ice recently but not too bad. My question is how do the Skoda and VW systems compare? I appreciate they are the same gearbox but does they way they drive differ in the the Superb and Passat? The one comment I have heard is the the DSG in the Superb can be jerky in traffic. I don’t know if this is a common DSG annoyance or particular to the Superb. I haven’t found the Passat too bad. I was initially concerned with pulling away from busy junctions and roundabouts but have found knocking the DSG into sport really helps, is this the same ? Thanks in advance
  4. The blind spot detection is standard on the SE Tech. (Or was when I placed the order for my company car on 23rd December). Travel assist has the Virtual cockpit, traffic sign recognition, predictive adaptive cruise control, adaptive lane assist and traffic jam assist I considered this pack as I wanted the VC and traffic sign recognition but as I wasn't bothered about the rest couldn't justify the cost so I just went for VC in the end I think traffic jam assist is for DSG only Not sure about the other pack, could be area view
  5. You can change the LED's and have a different colour, that is easy to do. I did it in my company car so I had blue light rather than white
  6. You can change the alert threshold in 3mph increments in the assistance settings. I think it is just below where you turn the alert on
  7. I’m sure my Mondeo used to just lock, not dead lock and set alarm. Also it would not lock if the keys were left in the ignition
  8. Is there a setting somewhere that turns on auto locking of the car, so the car locks automatically after a period of time if it has been left unlocked accidentally or at a petrol station? In the manual it does not appear to mention auto locking other than in the scenario where the car doors have not been opened after a period time when unlocking via the remote. I used to have this auto locking feature on my Mondeo, this could be disabled by putting in valet mode.
  9. It should just appear. Could be on the next page of apps, on mine I have more than 8 icons (because of the now playing and return to skoda icons). The non- Apple apps will appear on the next page. Swipe left and right to move between pages. You can re-order the app icons on the iPhone in the car play / Skoda screen, it shows the screens as you would see them on the infotainment. Just hold and drag the icons to re-position where you want them. I have moved Spotify and One App onto the main screen
  10. I have it as an option in my SE Business. I really like having the current road speed displayed in my eye line, you can also have the infotainment alert you in the mfd when you go over the current speed limit or your specified amount over the posted limit. The sign is displayed on the navigation screen and the Maxidot display between the dials. I upgraded mine to the colour maxidot so the signs are in colour, not sure if they are in colour on the standard maxidot. The system works well with the variable speed limits on motorways and has not missed one yet even in poor weather. I haven't yet come across any other signs it displays, no-one yet has given me an answer as to what signs are in the database, even my local dealer. I have contacted Skoda via the website but have not had a reply. A bonus of selecting this option is you get the same camera which is also used for Lane Assist and High Beam Assist. These additional features can be activated using VCDS rather than paying for them as options.
  11. This seems to be right. I have a manual MY18 2.0 150 SE Business Estate and that does not need Adblue
  12. My 2.0 150 Tdi manual SE Business Estate was with me approximately 12 - 14 weeks after I put my order in to my fleet administrator. I say approximately as there were quotes and approvals to be obtained before the order went in. The car arrived on the 11th September
  13. I got my MY2018 2.0 150 TDI Superb SE Business last week and it doesn't have an Adblue filler
  14. You can also listen to podcasts as well, I use Pocket Casts to save various genres of Podcasts to listen to when I fancy something different.
  15. The problem seems to have now sorted itself out. I had tried to use Autohold occasionally, using varying degrees of brake pressure when stopping since I noticed the issue after the car was delivered on Monday. Each time the car would not pull away without turning off Autohold. I didn't try at all yesterday, planning to take it to the dealer today for a once over. Turned the Autohold on when I left home to go to the garage and it has performed faultlessly all day, I have tried braking sharply to a stop as well as gently and it now pulls away perfectly every time. The handbrake also seems to release freely now as well. As I wasn't booked in to the garage I didn't bother going. Hopefully this was just a glitch and will not happen again.
  16. 2.0l 150 SE Business Estate in Business Grey. Options: Travel Assist with traffic sign recognition Colour Maxi DOT trip computer Wireless Charging with Bluetooth+ and WiFi
  17. That would be nice but I was thinking a bit more practically, such as Give Way, No Entry etc
  18. It does appear to use both the camera and sat nav for speed limits. Coming home tonight, I came out of a sign posted 30 into a 40, these were both shown in the display, the 40 is only a recent change. When I came out of the 40, the display changed to 60, however there were no signs to reflect this change on the road. Has anyone seen anything other than speed limits displayed by system?
  19. Yes, seatbelt on, doors closed. I pulled up at a junction and it was trying to pull away with the brake on. Luckily nothing behind me at the time.
  20. From people's experience what signs can I expect to see reported by this system? The manual says speed signs and others in the database, so far I have seen the speed limit signs only. I thought I may have seen a no entry, end of limit and other warnings shown but they did not appear.
  21. I took delivery of my new company car, a Superb SE Business on Monday. It appears as if the Auto Hold is faulty, as soon as I tried it the car would not release the brakes and pull away. I have attempted to us it several times now away from traffic and it is not improving. The handbrake is also quite reluctant to release when I try to pull away. Is this something that anyone else has experienced or heard about? Is it possibly something that will rectify itself (something sticky) or is it a garage job?
  22. I am collecting my new Superb SE Technology Estate on Monday. In preparation I was going to copy my music which is currently on a USB drive onto an SD card. Does anybody have any recommendations on brand ? Will a class 4 card be good enough or is class 10 a better option ? I have looked at the manual and searched the forum but can't find the answer. Plenty about the amount of files etc but not what to use. Thanks
  23. Not an answer to your question as I have not yet taken delivery of my new Superb. Just curious why you had such a long wait for your new car. I have a 2.0l manual Superb SE Technolgy Estate on order as a company car and was expecting/hoping it would be the usual 12 weeks or quicker for delivery.
