  1. I've had one break off. Car started taking ages to warm up, removed cover to find one of the plastic lugs wedged in the thermostat ;-)
  2. my 1.9 tdi does the same on occasions , only if throttle pedal is one particular spot. which happens to be roughly 40 mph in 4th on a flat road. I'm guessing possible throttle pedal sensor worn in one place. I may get round to removing and checking one day ;-)
  3. I know on my fathers Vectra it won't regen if any fault codes stored. Pretty sure most cars would be the same
  4. My 2004 pd100 passed with a reading of 1.25 , limit was set at 1.5 . They did check for plate, but not visible.
  5. 2004 elegance estate, currently on 162k. has cruise control ;-) . has been totally reliable.
  6. My tdi is the same, which is why its wearing a winter grill cover. Now warms up quicker and stays there (4-6 miles) , prolonged periods of idle (5 mins plus) with heater fan on 3-4 will cause a slight drop in temp, so just keep it on 2 and its fine.
  7. according to gates site it is https://www.gatesautocat.com/article/KP55569XS-2
  8. I use the clay bar from bilt hamber, then black hole glaze from Poorboy's(ideal for dark colours).topped with a coat of Poorboy's Natty's paste wax. Also used lime prime from dodo juice for a prewax clean, removal of light swirl marks etc.
  9. Deff claybar to get the crap out of the paint. Then a good polish and wax/sealer top coat ;-)
  10. Elbow grease and Poorboy's products help getting the swirl marks out of the paint. No wear on the interior at all , previous owner must have levitated over the seat while driving.
  11. Hi, 1st time skoda owner from outside bath. Picked up a Fabia 1.9 tdi estate elegance with full skoda history on 152000 miles. Drives like new
