  1. I couldn’t wait till the morning lol so I went out with the trusty head torch and my ratchet set to check and the screw that locks the carbon airtake to the grill was lose not a huge amount but I could lift the front up from the grill by about 5 mm , everything else is tight ,.. tool it out for a quick spin and it seems to of gone 🤞this is it 🤞🤞🤞🤞
  2. I have a look in the morning and see what it saying ,...cheers 👍
  3. That’s a very good point apart from just giving all’s the new bits a shake I haven’t to be honest actually checking the bolts and screws are tight but I will tomorrow morning first thing 👍
  4. Evening gents , Since Iv fitted these parts Iv noticed it has created a really annoying metallic reverberation between 1k and 2k revs and the other thing is it’s more apparent when in sport mode 🤦‍♂️, initially I thought it was the plastic dash shaking but I’m leaning towards the tin heat shield in the engine bay 🤷‍♂️ Has anybody else experienced this or has a solution please ,....I still absolutely love the thing though lol
  5. Did it earlier today and it definitely sounds nicer 😁 and possibly a teeny bit more responsive 👍
  6. Hey no worries at all and I really do appreciate the explanation @themanwithnoaim This is the problem unfortunately people right 3 or 4 lines and then disappear leaving me a little unsure someone said this about the air intake Initially and then after speaking to a local tuner to me who runs revo map business closets to me and he said Iv never heard anything like it and probably balls ,...The video I watched about this specific airtake he fits the turbo elbow but the chap was Italian so I couldn’t really get what he was saying but thought then that might be worth getting so I will order it now and as for the muffler delete is it easily accessible or is that more of a profession job to fit ?
  7. It’s interesting you say that because I initially responded greatfully thanking him of the heads up and informed him that these would be my next purchase if this would benefit the overall modifications ,he didn’t respond at all but in retrospect im wondering that it may be a case of what you precisely describe , which is a shame as I’m still learning and find this sort of thing really unhelpful , thank you buddy 👌
  8. Evening all , iv recently made the upgrade from the mk2vrs to a spanking new (ex demo) f/l mk3 245 ,.. the mk2 is stage 1 with a few various mods pcv delete , revo air intake I’m feeling the 245 is pretty mundane in comparison so Iv splurged on the forge motorsport carbon fibre air intake . After the installation I proudly posted it on the FB mk3 vrs group but some chap on said group has commented that the turbo bearings will be put under stress without the turbo elbow and muffler delete , Iv done a quick bit of research and got basically nothing so can anybody shed some light on this please . i would like to add that I’m totally up for buying more bits for my beast but would just like to hear a second opinion or maybe even several lol 😂 Also the air filter sounds awesome and has a nice little bit of a quicker pedal response too ,...winning 😁
  9. Thanks jujitsuboy69, That sounds like a good place to start , the cryo procedure is exposing any alloy components to very low temperatures using nitrogen, this changes the molecular structure of the alloy and makes it much stronger so less wear , used a lot in f1 and the ceramizer product is simply and additive which seems to have great properties and has lots of fantastic reviews , and for less than 20£ it's a no brainer . thank you for the advice mate .
  10. Hello everybody, I'm pleased to say I'm the proud owner of a skoda Octavia vrs estate mk 2 , it's a unmarked ex police car , so it has a few scars of bailouts but other than that it's came with a full service history and a highly tuned engine , it claims to be around 240bhp and certainly drives like it is , It's been super chipped and got a forged breather I think , hard oversized turbo piped and a huge ram air filter it's sounds amazing when I put my foot down and it drinks like a basking shark , id like to try a give a bit of life back to the engine tho as it's on 100,000 miles and iv seen the ceramizer products and wonder if it would help or anything else I'm aware of the cryo procedure but realise it means stripping the engine to bits so is there a slightly cheaper or easier method of bringing or making the engine stronger ? I'm not a fan of the new model and would prefer to spend a decent wack on this car as iv always wanted one , thank you in advance .
