  1. Mine is very simple to remove. Is your boot moulding secured correctly so that it is not putting strain on the fitting? Just a thought.
  2. I have to say...mine is crap. When on here to moan about it and I thought I would search for it. Heating the cabin to 30c clears it faster than the HRW! It was so slow I've checked the fuse! 20 mins (with the heat and aircon on) to clear the internal fogging. Absolutely crap. The worst HRW I've known in 30 years of motoring.
  3. Car tax is paid in full months. There is now official support from DVLA of the "14 days grace" that has been spoken about for decades which only become adopted 6 or 7 yrs ago. It is written into legislation. Therefore, if a part month is cancelled the tax revenue is paid until the end of the month in any case, and if purchased on a new month then the full month is also purchased as well. The plan of the DVLA when this was incepted was to allow for paperless billing and absence of physical vehicle excise licence discs, which is now a reality. In short, as long as you get it taxed, no offences are committed.
  4. I have just (last week) got a 205/55 R16 in mine with no issues. This is the OE fitment for a spare.
  5. My VWFS plan requires the use of a Skoda only dealer, but I don't plan on keeping mine otherwise I would go elsewhere.
  6. It's only purified urine anyway so shouldn't be too acidic. Well, 33% urea and 66% distilled water...someones on a serious racket with the amount they charge for it! Perhaps I could just pee in the tank?
  7. Is there a sticky somewhere for what can be added to bog standard spec cars? Mines an SE Tech.
  8. Just use the Navigate to function and will show up in the results with the distance.
  9. Just got my START of lease docs confirming that my friends and family will have the opportunity to purchase at the end of the lease but not me. If I hadn't just started a lease I'd have had yours!
  10. ...and mine, but the POIs are searchable and show in the results.
  11. No, you are right. I have to stir the box quite a bit. Also, getting a Tech without a DSG has proved to be pointless on the ACC front apart from motorways!
  12. As long as it fits on the sill weld it should be fine.
  13. The scissor jacks are convenient for lifting on the designation sill lifting points. A bottle jack will damage the sills, but will be okay on suspension points etc. You can use a ice hockey puck for £2 adapted to lift on the sill.
  14. I was very disillusioned with my AA, it was very haphazard; but then I changed the USB cable and it's a revelation it works so well. My phone memory is full, does anyone know if Waze will happily run from the SD card?
  15. As promised. My SE Tech greenline completely bog standard. It was delivered minging, but the bodywork has been cleaned and carlacked (complete and sealant). I don't "do" tyres! It won't be getting the carlacked again for 6 months!
