    Oooops.....

a- ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. done.
  3. the difference is they are a busniess selling a product, your not. get off your high horse.
  4. Oh FFS Des your always ever so ****ing brilliant aren't you, either tell us how you can get that power from a K03s or shut up. your always going on about how its capable of this and that yet never tell anyone how and what mods/setup are needed, one day des that wolf is going to appear and you'll have no one to run to. i'm not doing any copy and paste BS Des, i meerly say what i see and what i have experienced myself. if you can show me a 1.8T running a K03s and 250bhp or more reliably then why would i doubt it? what annoys me is the stupid air of mystery you constantly try and surround yourself in, you drive what you tout as the greatest octavia that ever was yet it never runs properly!! always an oil leak, air leak, fuel leak, wastegate problem blah blah blah. gettting very tiring now des.
  5. well obviously i meant a single K03s on a 1.8T still at 1781cc and not running nos as thats just a stupid thing to say really, an S4 runs K03s's yet is capable of 315bhp and 365lbft so why did you bother with all the extra's when a simple S4 map on your current ecu would see a K03s running 315bhp? if 250dhp is so easily achievable why isn't everyone running it and every tuner offering it?
  6. insurance, best advice i can give anyone with a pet. vets bills when things go wrong are extortionate and always unexpected. other than that awesome dog
  7. the K03s was fitted to all 1.8t's under the 210 mark from 2001 onwards as it was part of the facelift, its nothing to do with it being a vRS/4x4 its just the new standard.
  8. so what magical dust was used then Des as along with many hundreds of other people i've never seen a K03s run that power and certainly never repeated on different rollers and according to the manufacturers and some very experienced tuners(tuners that make manufacturers WRC cars) the turbo cannot even flow enough air to make those figures.
  9. oooh dear, bad news but it should be fixed soon
  10. 918,353 miles!!!!! doesn't look like he was doing 60
  11. very much doubt its 250bhp, thats quite an awkward power figure, standard turbo won't do it and you wouldn't fit an uprated turbo for the sake of 25-30bhp. if its on a K03s still expect more like 220bhp tops. hope you find more out about it
  12. 240 ain't happening on the standard turbo and the leon is the same as the octavia, its only the bushes/springs/dampers that will be different.

  14. just for the record a gt28 is around £700 give or take, a cheap ebay cast manifold is around £100-£150 and a good manifold is nearly a grand all including vat so would you spend over £1500 on just a turbo when for a couple hundred quid more you can have an equal length tubular manifold and gt28? i know what i'd do
  15. thats odd, when mine blew up a couple years ago thats what they quoted me. things must have changed!
  16. what manifold? if its a cast one it'll crack, the "uprated" cast manifold i fitted cracked and so do loads others including standard.
  17. what i meant was 1k+vat for the turbo, that wasn't fitted or anything. unless you can get it cheap and do it yourself i can't really see it being worthwhile as the cost of paying someone to do it isn't worth the power gain.
  18. forgot to say, no idea how fooked this is considered but mine was like it for a few weeks and i didn't drive it any different at all when it was making noise, i carried on like i had stolen it
  19. for me it was bent fins on the compressor, fubar. this was mine
  20. could be a dealer special, you know what these foriegners are like.
