  1. I too have had to get use to not having one touch but it hasn't been that much of an adjustment, car is far superior in other ways that make up for it.
  2. I used it once, but that was when we had no plasters in the house... I should probably check those dates now you mention it.
  3. That all depends on the type of first aid kit you have, I have one in a bag which has been through 3 cars and always goes in the same place which is under the boot floor.
  4. I also use the offline ability, it's great when you forget to switch mobile data on or you lose signal, helped me quite a few times in the past year.
  5. I purchased the A556S and A331H for my hatch and they are frankly brilliant, perfect fit and so much better than the standard Skoda ones, hopefully they'll last longer too.
  6. Yeah I'll keep an eye on it but its the first thing to even slightly go wrong but I'll just wait and see if anything else crops up, thanks for the info.
  7. Glad to hear its sorted now, I was almost expecting mine to be tapered too, I was almost on the floor to make sure it wasn't.
  8. I'm unsure if this is related as I've very little knowledge of DSG gearboxes but today I had my cruise control set at 30, temporary cancelled for a red light, once it changed I accelerated to 27mph then hit resume on the CC and noticed it was in 3rd gear and it hung at 3k RPM till I stepped in and cancelled the CC which then caused it to shift up followed by a horrible clutch smell for a few seconds after. This is the first issue I've had with it and I wondered if it could be one of the clutches not disengaging to allow the other to engage or if its related to the CC. Thanks for any advice with this.
  9. Just checked mine also can't see it tapering as you can see here.
  10. I for one love stop/start although I feel I'm in the minority, being able to start the engine just before the traffic lights change by easing the pressure on the pedal is great. Also what you say about easing off to engage the clutch packs is very true until I gained confidence in the hill hold I'd jump from one pedal to the other and it is very jerky. Overall having the DSG since June last year I've had no issues with it and it's easily my favourite gearbox that I have used.
  11. Not sure on the maxi dot as I only really use it for the digital speedo but something else you should find is a 2in1 ice scraper and magnifier in the fuel filler flap.
  12. I had to hardwire my 2 cameras due to the 12v always being live, it was nowhere near as difficult as I expected. I bought trim tools, fuses, long USB cables and a 12v to 5v dual USB converter, all in all it took about 20mins to hardwire it with all the cables neatly tucked away for both cameras. I also had never touched a car fuse box or anything more than putting fuel in and basic checks but it was much easier especially following a guide I found online.
  13. Yeah I've had it kick in once where the car in front stopped for no reason before driving off. I've also had it beep to warn me when it either wasn't necessary such as a car that made a last minute turn and I'd already steered around it or it thinks that my closing speed is too fast to the car in front. Either way it seems to work pretty well, I'd rather have it too sensitive than not sensitive enough.
  14. Mine is only 8/9 months old and it froze up too, few days later when the temperature climbed into the plus' it carried on working as normal.
  15. Don't know about Waze but Google Maps is the same, the keyboard is disabled when the car is moving, can still use voice though.
