  1. Cannot find any settings to do with the Lane assist despite it being listed on the spec. All I can find is Driver Alert System, when I press the Driver Assistance button on the steering wheel I get the message "no menus available" Problem is even more noticeable today so it's booked in with the dealer after the trip to Gatwick. I will update with their findings.
  2. That'a a good point thanks. The spec of the car lists lane assist as being present, however when I enter the driver assistance menu it does not appear there. Is is possible to turn this off?
  3. Thanks for that I will give it go as that was my main concern in the short term. With regards to steering / noise at first I did think that it seemed like the steering was in Sport mode, however it is seems even heavier than that and switching mode makes no difference. Now wondering if it's a problem with the mode select as that could also explain the increased noise under acceleration? Any thoughts? Thanks for the replies
  4. Yes, pressing and holding the lock button closes all windows and pressing and holding the unlock button opens them all.
  5. Hi, Thanks for the replies. The tyres are Dunlop SportMAXX RT 225/45 R17. I checked the pressures this morning as this was my first thought, they were all around the 2.3 bar mark, I topped them all to 2.4 ready for the fully loaded journey and reset the pressure monitor. This seems to have made no difference though. I was also going down the route of electrical issue as this could explain the heavy steering and window issue, however I can't see that this would cause gear selection issues unless there is some sort of electronic interface related with this. I am wondering if the the vibration and gear issue are related to a clutch or flywheel issue? I am still awaiting a call from the dealer and think the chances of getting it in there before Saturday are pretty slim. Thanks for the help so far.
  6. Hi All, New member in need of help. I took delivery of a brand new 1.4T 150 SE Sport in February of this year. Firslty, I must admit I've been really impressed with the car as a whole. Feels well made, high spec, smooth, quiet and decent pace as well. This is until a few days ago when the following catalogue of events occurred: I noticed that the steering seemed to be overly heavy, particularly on the motorway, almost as though the wheel was centered and to change lane I had to oversteer to force it to move. It was still apparent after slowing to A roads and changing the driving mode made no difference. After leaving the car for half hour it then appeared to return to normal, until a motorway journey were the problem arose again. Now in addition to this I am now also randomly having trouble selecting gears, usually when slowing at a roundabout and dropping down. A few presses of the clutch and fumbling with the gear stick and then it's fine for a while. Then it randomly does this again. I can also feel what seems to be more vibration / noise through the cabin and pedals than there ever has been - it has always been extremely hushed and smooth. Now finally, on three occasions in the last 24 hours I have found the car with all four windows open but still locked. There's no way the button on the key can have been depressed so that's not the cause. I can't see how logically these problems can all be related but it seems odd they have all occurred at the same time. I am due to drive to Gatwick at weekend where the car will be left for two weeks and I am a little worried about getting there and also leaving the car. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
