Hi guys!
I have an interesting issue with my 1999 1.8t AGU octavia (cable operated throttle). Sometimes (let's say once every 14 days..) my car after accelerating in a higher gear(4th and 5th mostly) from lower speeds start stuttering, losses almost all power and if you release the throttle it stalls completely. If i restart the car, everything runs fine!. So i guess it's an electronic issue but a sensor which doesn't log error when temporarily faulty??
I checked for fault codes...nothing. I changed fuel filter and crankshaft sensor, still no change.
I have two suspects:
1. MAF
2. CamShaft sensor
3. Vacuum leak?
5. PCV?
interestingly if i unplug the MAF while the car is idling, nothing changes, car runs fine but when i plug it back it stalls. If i add a little throttle while plugging back the MAF, it will keep idling normally.
I disconnected the TPS sensor and the car doesn't stall, just a little higher idle. So i guess the TPS can't cause stalling??
Any help appreciated!
Thanks!
