  1. Hi Moribund, I'm embarrassed to admit that my problem was in fact my own ignorance. My old Octavia only had one temperature dial and the new one has temperature control on the left and on the right. Everything else was a red herring. Apologies if this doesn't solve your problem. All the best, Nick
  2. Thanks Ords, thanks Paulski
  3. Hi all, When I turn the heat up high or all the way to HI I get hot air blowing on the passenger side but only continued cool (exterior temp?) air on the driver's side. Any of you wiser heads have thoughts about what to do next? Many thanks, Nick
  4. Many thanks, everyone. Will check when I get back to the car.
  5. Oh, that's my old Skoda. Will change. I think the battery may be as old as the car (2015). Maybe I need a new one...
  6. No... In the car park when I tried it yesterday it warned me my "12v battery is low - start engine or switch off Infotainment System"
  7. Any thoughts? I drive across France and started to notice the phone I keep continuously charging wasn't actually charging, or only slowly...
  8. They've tried various computers, it's been to a couple of their neighbouring garages too and nobody's any the wiser
  9. My local garage are really struggling with my Octavia Estate Elegance 4x4 turbo. The ECU has been sent for testing twice and no fault can be found in it. But when it comes back they can't get it to communicate with their computer. They've bled the ABS system a few times and cannot get any "pedal". They're about to try a bleed of the master cylinder. Does this mean anything to anybody? There was a problem before when the ABS/traction control would get a bit shuddery at the end of long journeys. We never solved that and I lived with it by switching off the ABS whenever it arose. But since a repair on the clutch cylinder the situation has got worse, as above. Any thoughts?
