hey guys got a small prob with a flashing glow plug light. fitted 2 new brake light switches this morning both VAG parts, and had the car scanned as the light still flashed after i changed the switch. the second scan cleared the light and it went out for about 5 mins and came back on...and the brake light also seem to be working ok i just drove the car myself and it makes a terrible wooohsing noise when the turbo kicks in, would such a thing bring that light on??? the cars booked tomorr at a garage tomorr to get the intercooler pipes checked as it sounds like it's popped off. thanks

managed to get it off at long last, thanks very much for the relys guys, the lock was in fact jammed, had to do it the brutal way and hit it. the shock must have freed it off, still need a new lock though, so happy the door is open

hey all, got my self in to a bit of a pickle with my sisters car, it's a 2001 sdi, and basically can't get the drivers door open at all. the inside handle won't work, the cable has snapped, the outside handle won't open the door either. and the door lock spins round and round lol. managed to get the door panel off a bit so i can grab the broken door cable but even wth vise grips tugging it it still won't open it feels like it's jammed or something along these lines... all other doors open close and lock fine. anyone any ideas?? i've had a search on here but can't really pick any pointers out. i have the repair kit for the barel and lock and a new cable, told you i was in a pickle

had this problem last week on our sdi, it was the slave cylinder for the clutch pedal..........cos about

faulty door latch on the drivers door, thats the fault on our SDI getting replaced under warranty tomorrow

well it was checked out and the dealer couldn't find a fault, they put it down to an air lock, the cars been fine since. thanks for the replys guys

brought a SDi last week, before i got it the dealer fitted a brand new gearbox under warranty (got 65k on the clock) on friday night i couldn't select any gears and the pedal dropped to the floor. i'm lucky if the cars coverd 150 miles since i picked it up, the AA dude said the reason the padal dropped may have been caused by air in the system???, after he pulled the pedal back up it felt fine. but i waved bye bye to it on the back of the AA van so it can get checked out at the dealers. has anyone else had any problems on there SDi's like this???? thanks

yeah stoppped the car and when i went back to it later and drove off it kept going again cheers for the reply

got a sdi classic, was out in it to day, and while driving along the rear wiper went on it's self, the wiper switch was on the off position, any help greatful

ok folks i phoned the service guy up and he said that on certine chassis numbers they have extended the mileage on timing belts to be changed between 70K and 90K, he said it will be inspected at 70K service still not convinced just going to book it back in to get it changed as i don't think the service guys right

hmmmmm cheers for the replys guys. i'ii go down and have a word with the service dude and see how he can up with the decition that it shouldn't be changed i hear what you guys are saying it's a BIG risk to take thanks

our octy SDI was in for it's 60K service i though this was the big one where it's timing belt needs changed but the service guy said they inspected the belt and is not due for change at the moment is this right??? so when will it need changed??? thanks

my dads does this on standard suspention with 18" wheels on, when fully loaded, deffo the back end on his thats rubbing
