  1. I will go out take a picture now for you to show you. You don't really notice the issue to be honest. The gearbox was rebuilt properly with new clutches, fluids and seals. It was done by Dartford Transmissions so a specialist and they provide it with 12 months warranty. Yes, vehicle is still available.
  2. Yeah, it really does. I get into 2019 Skodas and I am disappointed because they feel poorly equipped in comparison!

  4. I've had exactly the same problem with my car. I've changed the fuse 15 and 4, and also checked all the other fuses individually (visual inspection only) and still no interior lights. Any pointers before I take it to a garage? Thanks.
  5. I have Team Heko ones fitted on my car. I didn't use the metal clips - just the 3M strips. It took a little while for them to bed in, and one of them has dropped down a little bit. Most annoying feature is the wind noise, which I find to be excessive. It is so bad that I would like to take them off but I really like the look of them. RN122790 by Rob Parker-Norman, on Flickr
  6. Envious. Any pics? Seems the perfect transmission for the vRS, needs the TSi though.
  7. In recent years I've seen countless Felicias advertised that I would have liked to have homed but didn't have the space. They had low mileage, low owner counts and were in lovely original condition with little to no rust. I had one myself, a lovely pea green L. I sold mine last year but fancy another now. I've been looking for a little while and I can't find anything that fits the bill - have they really all disappeared? Has anyone got one they want to sell? I want a 1.3, pre-facelift. Not bothered by hatch or estate, but would prefer a 68bhp engine. Cheers.
  8. Set a date and I will see if I am available. I've moved from the area so would love an excuse to come back and enjoy the roads of this beautiful part of the country.
  9. I'm away from home at the moment but from memory the red car is based on a Kaden model that was then modified by hand. It is number 1 of 200. The other two are IXO I think. I'll be honest they weren't cheap... £45 minimum each ... but the quality is up there. The picture doesn't do them justice. Sometimes you can find some rally Octavias going cheaply on eBay; although I've only ever seen the night rally one that I have once .. and I paid £60+ for that (just don't tell my wife!)
  10. Here you are, it isn't the best in the world mine as I just used my phone.
  11. The Kaden models really aren't great value. I mean I like them because they were made in Czech in the late 90s and have a period feel to them, but for outright quality you need to look elsewhere. I had forgotten to take the pictures, but I have now. Just waiting for them to upload. Thanks. Down to one Rapid now. The silver one was the last one they ever made. Quite a special car.
  12. How many miles has it done? It sounds like a proper battle axe of a car!
  13. Sounds to me like you are having the same fault as me. I think it must be sorted with coding, but what I don't know is what needs coding or altering. I have asked on the VCDS part of the forum so I will let you know of any updates: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/380215-octavia-i-central-locking-electric-windows-fault/ I don't have the same issue with wet footwells, but then I don't have a sunroof so that could well be the cause?
  14. Morning all. I hope you can help. I have been having major issues with my 2002 Octavia vRS. The full details can be found here (http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/377567-help-me-love-my-octavia-again-central-locking-elec-window-issues/) but the heads and tails of it is that having replaced the door microswitch, the complete door wiring loom, convenience module and the electric window motor regulator, I am still left with electric windows that don't work, an interior light that doesn't work and remote central locking that doesn't work. I am fairly certain that I have eliminated all of the physical problems in the system, so I am now led to believe that the fault lies in the coding. However, I am no coding genius, so I was wondering if anyone on here had any experience or suggestions? Is it a coding fault? Where should I start looking? To that end, if there is anyone who is handy with a VCDS cable around the Swindon area I'd be very greatly obliged of any help. Thanks.
  15. Aye, I did send a message to someone local but they didn't reply. I will start looking further afield.
  16. Part numbers of the convenience module matched exactly. On the window motor regulator it was one number different. I didn't change the whole motor, just the bit that clips into the motor if that makes sense?
