  1. I've been told "up to 4 weeks" between the car being built and when I could collect it, but that sometimes it can be quicker depending on several factors such as when the transports are scheduled either end, how many vehicles need to be moved to the port, what the UK port-to-dealer delivery schedule is, how many cars the dealer has to PDI that week etc...
  2. Does anyone have an SLI number to actually put into the site? Just typing random numbers into the box seems to give the " Your order is currently awaiting a manufacturing build date." message
  3. I think it only works if you've ordered from one of the specific dealers it lists on the website.
  4. That seems very quick - I order 4 days after you and am currently at BW 42. 4 days difference shouldn't mean a extra 2 months delay...
  5. No worries. Am hoping it again moves a little further forward than BW44 - ideally I'd need it to be BW40 to stand a chance of collection before end of October to save me having to MOT and tax the current car again...
  6. No, I meant 21st July - that's the date I was informed of my build week... So 1 week after I ordered, they gave me an initial build week of BW05 (end Jan '18). On 24th July I was told it was now provisionally BW44 (end Oct '17). That makes the build provisionally scheduled for ~15 weeks from point of order.
  7. I ordered on 15th July and was given a provisional build week on 21st July. I was told this would be updated (or at least I'd be notified if it had/hadn't changed) weekly.
  8. So 8 weeks ahead of me, despite ordering a couple of days after. What spec/options did you go for out of curiosity...?
  9. I wasn't aware that the factory was shutdown at the time I placed the order...
  10. This has now jumped forward to week 44 - much better :-)
  11. As posted on another thread, I ordered a vRS petrol (230PS) on 15th July with the dealer stating "about 12 weeks" wait and an estimated collection of end of October. First update stated build week 5, which I think is w/c 29th Jan :-( Obviously I'm not happy. I've emailed the dealer to ask why the significant delay and discrepancy with their estimate when I placed the order, but haven't yet had a response.
  12. Thanks. Going by your signature, that's ~16 weeks, which seems reasonable to me. Out of curiosity, what build week were you originally quoted - and how does that compare to the current estimate of wk 30?
  13. Ordered a 2.0 TSI 230PS Manual with a few options (winter pack, folding mirrors, rear airbags) last weekend (15th July) having been told 'around 12 weeks' wait for a factory order. You can imagine my irritation to be told today it's been set for build week 5 :-(
