  1. Thank you all very much for your help! just one more question. If i got the part with the same number as the one already in my car, would i still need to have it coded to my car? Again thank you!
  2. Hi all, hope everyone is ok. My clock spring has started clicking on tight turns and the horn is not working and the airbag light is on all the time. Contacted my local Skoda for a replacement, £248 just for the part. he said that he was not aloud to give me the part number so i told him the number on my clockspring and it did not match what he was looking at on his computer, he said that the part number he has is the correct and current one even though he would not tell me what it was. I am wandering if anybody can help, my clockspring part number is 5k0.953.569.c Thank you for your help.
  3. Thank you for your help! I will have a look at the caliper id at the weekend, again thanks
  4. Hi everyone, my problem has probably been asked and answered many times before, but I cannot find them so sorry for repeated questions! My Octavia mk2 2011 VRS diesel estate has a binding rear caliper coming from the handbrake part of the caliper. I want to change the caliper or both rears, Please can anyone tell me which calipers are fitted to this car and where can I get some new or recons that will fit. I have looked on ebay and found a set and the ebay vehicle fitment thing said it would fit, so contacted the seller just to make sure, turns out they don't fit! So please any help?
  5. Thank you all for your comments!
  6. Thats awesome, thankyou very much for your help!
  7. Can anybody tell me if a set of Yeti wheels (13 plate) fit my Octavia mk2 vrs (11 plate) Thankyou in advance!
  8. I too have just upgraded my head unit to a pioneer avh-z9100dab, I have a windscreen mount antenna for now, but I really want to replace the roof one for a dab/ fm . Did you do the install yourself and if so was it a big job to.
  9. Yes I have just found this information on u tube so I have found a little device that simulates that on/off that you are talking about and I am now waiting for it to arrive for ebay and I hope it works and is compatible with my head unit as it say that it is compatible with all avh modes (we shall see!). I will keep you all informed, and again thanks for everybodys comments and help with this.
  10. The menus I want access to include wifi setup and firmware update.
  11. Sorry people, I haven't fitted a head unit for a long time (as you can see!!) I am a bit stuck with this damn wire, I am not sure how to take the hand brake covers off or even if I have to! I don't even know if there is a cheat/ bypass to make the unit think that handbrake is on all the time. Will any ground do? Again thank you for your time and patience!
  12. To be able to play dvd, without that wire connected the head unit thinks that the hand brake is not on, and also with my head unit there are menus that I cannot access without connecting it.
  13. Hi all, and thanks in advance! I am installing a pioneer head unit in my mk2 Octavia and the unit has a wire to connect to the handbrake. Can anyone please help me to locate it and tell me the colour please!
  14. Hi all, I have a 2011 vrs diesel estate and I am going to fit a new pioneer head unit, but I need a switched live. Now my plan was to use the front socket to piggyback off until I noticed that it appears to be live all the time, so now I am thinking to use the rear wiper to piggyback off, can anyone give any advice if this is a good idea or come up with a better one please. Thank you all!
