I had an usual moment with my SKODA YETI 1.2l (2011) the other day whilst driving - it was a hot day about 30°C, city driving.
Firstly the aircon stopped working (no cold air, no fan, no reaction from the controls)
Then I decided to park and the power steering was clearly cutting out , heavy steering etc.
So I switched the engine off after trying to park, to my suprise it was completely dead, and would not restart , no dash board lights - as if the battery was flat.
I should mention the car is used only rarely about once every two weeks.
Then I waited about 5 minutes and tried to restart and it immediately fired up and was working again normally, air con , steering all ok - as electrical power was clearly back.
Now I'm a bit afraid it could happen again - so does anyone have any ideas what could cause this ?
thanks, GLEO.
