I ordered a new intercooler pipe from turborury.pl ready replace the deceased pipe that is in there now. On this diagram, the one I am looking to replace is pipe number 23. What is required to do this myself? If it's an easy fit just to take the old one off and put the new one in I will do it myself, but if there is some things that have to be taken off I will let my garage do it whilst they change a few bits on the front suspension. What do I require for this? Have you taken the skods faceplate and put the vw light switch in it?

Before anyone wishes to shoot me, I have searched for a thread on this but I cannot find one. Anyway, this is probably a stupid question but is it possible to code the ECU so my headlights/sidelights turn on when I unlock my car l, if I have left the switch on? I know that sidelights stay on without the keys in the ignition. If it is even possible to do this and it is fairly easy then it is something I wish to do. If it requires loads of fiddling then I can live without it, just saw my mate's mk5 golf gt tdi switch on it's headlights when he unlocked it the other night and wondered if it's something I could do on my vRS. After the lugs on one of the intercooler pipes packed in a couple of weeks ago on my vRS, I have decided to get a full hardpipe upgrade with an uprated intercooler. A few questions spring to mind though. I have looked on darksidedevelopments and found a 1.9tdi asz hardpipe kit to go with a seatsport fmic (front mounted intercooler), does this require any modifications to anything else, and am I correct in thinking this still sits under the bonnet and it's not an external mounted one on the bumper or something? Also, what bhp/nm increase can I expect from this intercooler. In addition, if anyone has a better kit or can find just a hardpipe kit for use with the standard intercooler, please let me know. My budget is about £400 (without fitting). Thanks to anyone who helps in advance.

I had another post about this but now I am looking for an uprated fix. I have looked on images on google and it looks like quite a few people have a single pipe that comes up the left side of the block to the egr. Does anyone know where I can buy one from and hoe kuch it would be?

I have taken the plastic section off and it appears that the lugs on the lower flexi pipe are knackered. so this will have to be replaced. I have had a look at images of other people's vRS's under the bonnet and quite a few have a full chrome pipe there as one piece rather than three separate pieces. Is this a better option? If so where can I find one of these for sale and how much am I looking at to buy it?

I was driving along a country lane while pushing the car hard up to about 2.5k in second and there was a loud bang and a big cloud of black smoke. The pipe at the front left corner (when looking at the front of the car) has undone itself. Basically the rubber (i think) bottom pipe that normally sits inside the plastic top one is no longer inside it, I have clipped it back on with the jubilee clip but the car is underpowered and sometimes misfires slighty when going up hills. I nursed it home with a friend following and parked it up. Is this a simple fix or is it something I need to go to a proper garage with? Thanks in advance

This is probably me just being stupid but on every cold morning without fail, I start my vRS and set off to work. I keep the revs low and usually dont exceed 1500 rpm while I wait for the temperature to rise (I do this whenever the engine is cold out of habit). However after around 5 minutes of driving when the temperature gets up to around 60 degrees C, I hear three beeps and the red coolant temperature light begins to flash. If I swotch thr engine off and back on again there and then the light does not show again. Any ideas?

I have ordered a new lense for my fabia mk1 vrs. The mirrors on the car now are electric and heated if that makes a difference. Please could someone give me a few pointers as to how I remove the old one and fit the new one? Thanks in advance

Due to someone elses awful driving my wing mirror on my mk1 vrs has beeb smashed, just the glass itself. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement or have one for sale? It's heated and electronically adjustable if it makes a difference
