  1. Good day all, Having issues coding two remotes originally supplied with the car. Tried both owner's manual version and VCDS version. Checked batteries/ contacts and both flashing nicely. With VCDS, adaptation, channel 01 the keys stored number is 1 and no matter what you do, including re-zeroing channel 00 first, this cannot be changed. whenever you go back into it, it's always 1 Anyone come across this and any suggestions?? Thanks
  2. We have the same car with the same sort of problem. If it's a persistent stain, you need extraction cleaning. We use Autoglym interior shampoo sprayed on (watch the leather). Leave for a few seconds then soak with a very damp clean sponge. Then immediately afterwards, vacuum the whole lot with some form of wet/dry vacuum cleaner to remove the liquid. You have to remove it, or the staining salts remain there. Might take a couple of goes. It should then dry overnight.
  3. Thanks all for your advice. Indeed, a clear-out of channel 00, followed by following coding procedure in channel 01 did the trick in less than a minute! Thanks, Uwe for providing such a versatile and user-friendly tool. Regarding convenience module, yes as above. Regards, Richard
  4. Hi All, Having issues with VAG-COM accessing the Central Convenience controller (46) to code a new remote. In "Adaptation", channel 01 indicates that the stored number of remotes was 1. This is despite there being two keys from new. When we try to increase the value from 1 to 2 the "Test" button dissappears i.e we can't add a remote. Strangely, the key coding went fine as we have the 4-digit code for the car. Do Skoda have a different way of coding remotes? Yours, Perplexed!
  5. Sorry Sebastian, I just tried it again with both the above codes; as soon as I switch back on, leaving it even longer than 30 seconds, no code present. Do you know if dealers have the ability to "Stock flash" these controllers, as we do with the engine controllers (Revo), in case the software has become corrupted? It just seems bizarre that everything else works and it works fine when coded, it just won't store the coding!!!
  6. No, that doesn't seem to work either. As soon as either 01000 or 11000 are put into the controller, the clutch on the pump clicks in. As soon as you switch off, all codes are lost again. Do these controllers need a permanent live feed to retain settings, or is it like the engine controller, which remembers it's settings even when removed?
  7. No, this is the original controller, but VAG-COM shows incorrectly coded controller and basic settings not performed. When you look at the HVAC open controller screen, it shows no coding (00000) and no WSC either. Code 01000 works fine while the ignition is on, together with a suitable WSC, but all vanish when the ign is switched off. Hence the question about log-ins. Or is the controller memory stuffed? Any and all theories gratefully received!
  8. Our '01 vRS HVAC works fine except it won't hold the settings when switched off. VAG-COM reveals the unit is not coded (and no WSC). When we try a suitable code, it won't store it past swich off. Does this require a log-in code and if so, anyone any ideas? It's Climatronic C1.0.0 Ta.
  9. Had a chat with a very friendly Skoda Tech, who told me that: 1. Don't need to reset the SAS on non-ESP cars, just cancel the fault code 2. There's a problem with damp connections with these sensors. It was a devil to get at, the pump unit is encased in foam rubber, which was wet through and that was covered in a light plastic coating, presumably made by Cadburys; crumbled away as soon as you touched it. Nevertheless, problem fixed, thanks all for scratching your heads anyway
  10. Not one I've come across before; so advice/thoughts please on callibrating a new steering angle sensor on a c.2001 Fabia 1.4 with VAG-COM??
