  1. evans halshaw buy lots of tat from small traders and then put on their forecourts. I should know, theyve sought two of my ****ters in the past and sold them as warrantied cars.
  2. Not a TDI, but yes on newer petrol models i have (the new 190PS) , id rather not talk publicly about it
  3. Good luck with your tuning then and i will step back
  4. Manual or DSG? If its DSG i wouldnt bother using one of these boxes, the DSG will see more torque than expected and start messing up the power delivery
  5. Take the rear camera cable down low level along passenger side sill plastics, under the edge of the sill behind the passenger seatbelt mount on the rear, then you dont need to go high level near airbags.
  6. If you go for a more professional dashcam than a halfords one, you can get the OBD cables that use the parking mode and switched live, and dont turn on/off all the time when the engine stop/starts in traffic as they have a device that keeps them running for a few minutes after power off of igniton.. https://www.racshop.co.uk/thinkware-obd-hardwire-installation-cable.html Honestly i would ebay the nextbase and get a thinkware type device which sits flush on the window both front and rear.
  7. I would avoid the 1.8 tsi, heres my example: started at 40k miles, got worse over 3 years, 1 litre of oil ended up lasting 100 miles when used on motorways. 1. Oil spitting out of exhaust on a cold start. 2. took out the plugs and found cylinders 1 and 4 foiled in oil, 2 and 3 were nice and dry and clean. https://filebin.net/kqi14uwjfv381qu2 for the video of the 4 cylinders
  8. I would check that the suspension arm sensors and tilt sensors have no errors, i had this on an older DSG and it was related to the DSG changing incorrectly on hills. It was an intemittent signal from one sensor causing the car to not know the front/rear suspension angles correctly.
  9. You will not find a set of retrofit LEDs that have a good beam pattern, your only hope is to go for ones which have measurements exactly the same as a halogen bulb, they mount so that the LEDs point sideways also not up/down, i wouldnt waste your money.

    Road Noise

The factory bridgestones are rubbish, cant wait to get rid of them.
  11. Yeah the fault code will not go away until they set basic settings levels for the top and bottom alignment in module 4b, then the error will go away and the fault code will be clearable.
  12. If you get a long handled screwdriver to your ear, place it on the fuel pump on the side of the engine block, so you hear the throbbling rattle there? is the engine tray hitting anything solid? Sounds like a resonant rattle not a mechanical one
  13. That headlamp range control error is resolvable by doing a basic setting on the high/low levels, i had the same error when i enabled traffic sign assist and auto high beam using VCDS, took me a while to figure out why, they went up/down absolutely fine, but the error remained on the dashboard. The right dipped beam might be a lack of comms to the Right side LED module, i saw that too and it logs an error in the 4b controller on the car (replacement for BCM in older cars). If you weren't in cornwall i would offer to assist.

    DSG shudder

Have you tried to reset the DSG adaptions? One way is using VCDS, but the quick way: Open car with key Put foot fully down on accelerator pedal turn ignition key to ignition on (not engine start) leave ignition on for 15 seconds turn key off (keeping foot on pedal) remove foot from accelerator pedal Then start the car as normal and go for a drive in D, this can reset the self-learn behaviour on the DSG of that age, and it may just pull away/creep better and not slip the clutches as much to pull away.
  15. Sorry for the delay We got 2k Finance Contribution, and 6k off the car, i got the figure wrong sorry (so 8 total), we found out that you get the discounts on the addons with services like DTD and CarWow, so we ended up loading it with the Virtual cockpit and lane/park assist etc. The offer was just before the previous March 31st Brexit deadline, and Skoda put their prices up shortly afterwards
