1.4 MPI. Is the plug below the sump pan or on the side?

Thanks a lot. I will reply if any updates...

Ok. Is there somewhere a video, how to do it? I understand the basics, but tutorial would be good.

Hi there, Fabia 1.4mpi 2001. Coolant leak somewhere. Im pretty sure, its head gasket. Yellowish stuff under oil and also coolant cap. I removed oil cap when engine running and a lot steam came out. Its not short cold trip condensation problem. Oil level OK, coolant fluid pretty clean. No white smoke. Car mileage is 260K. Worth to repair head gasket? Is it hard to DIY? I added few pics too.

Power steering light goes on sometimes. Checked the fluid lvl with cold engine and it barely touched the dipstick. Has it some sort of sensor, that controls the fluid level? Fabia 2001 1.4mpi

Did that also, tnx.

Ok, was driving today and car completely died on the road. Absolutely zero. No dashboard clock, mileage, nothing. Thought the battery died. Got my friend to help, tried jumper cables, nothing. Tried friends battery, nothing. My battery voltage was 12,4 V. So not dead at all. In the battery fuse box was one crack, green/yellow wire (ABS?) Replaced it with another 40A fuse. Still nothing. Then i completely removed all the fuses and terminals. Cleaned them with sandpaper and got them nice and tight. And voila, it works! No power steering light and no engine light, which also bothered me for years. Tnx for the help

Hi, First post here. Have a Fabia 1.4mpi 2001 year. Had the car like 3 years, and the power steering light went on 1-2 times a year. Noticed that only in long straight rides. But no power steering loss. So lately i have the light every day now. If the light turns on, the steering wheel wont go hard, actually a lot softer and easier to turn. Happened multiple times, so im not psycho Checked battery and alternator voltages. All normal. Fluid level is between MIN and MAX. Should be fine also. Any thoughts?
